    i could understand the outrage if the Cubs were playing Johnson and losing, but they're not, so chill

    baseball reference only has tOPS+ (not regular OPS+) in their splits. since OPS+ supposedly neutralizes park factors, i wonder how much closer someone like Greene's home/road OPS+ splits are than his regular OPS splits

    i'm most impressed with the Cubs' ability (so far) to paste the teams that are worse than them. how many years have we been frustrated by their seeming inability to "get up" for series against the crap teams, especially in our own division? i'll live with a .500 record against the Mets/Brewers/Phillies of the league if we're destroying the Bucs/Stros/Reds

    Sadly they haven't. Last night the Ducks played the Stars in Dallas, tonight they play in Anaheim. Why they can't do this in basketball amazes me. because the NBA wants every playoff game of every team on TV, while the NHL just has most on regional FSN stations

    i think have poor fielding sluggers on the field is great fun (see: Barry Bonds, Adam Dunn, Ryan Braun)

    i was stuck with the Reds feed of the series 2 of the 3 games, and Thom Brennaman spews some of the most obnoxious nonsense i've ever heard. in the 12-3 game, Soto came up after Cordero walked the bases full. He grounded out on the first pitch but drove in a run. Brennaman jumps on his jock so fast, saying "now that was just a god awful at-bat. what is this kid thinking?" Sure, he should have taken some pitches, but the team was up by 80 runs and he got an RBI, so who cares?
