  1. What's really amazing to me is that someone could be in baseball for their entire adult life and not understand a fundamental principle of the game. or that General Managers wouldn't call up some references before hiring a manager

  4. Hinrich with 6 points on 2 for 12 shooting. please, please trade this chump
  5. IMB has been emailed
  6. seriously, especially since Rotoworld does the same thing for free
  7. #1 on abuck's "most racist movies ever" list: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/513C8DNG9SL._SS500_.jpg
  8. shouldn't that be from bad to worse... :-k i was writing it so Cardinal fans could understand
  9. i don't have ESPN Insider, but the main MLB page at ESPN.com has a link that says "Roberts staying an Oriole for now"
  10. OBP is based on plate appearances, not at-bats, so everything, including walks, sac flies, etc. counts towards the average. if he goes 3 for 3 with a sacrifice bunt, he's batting 1.000 but OBP'ing .750
  11. Correction: torn ligament, bone spurs, inflammation and arthritis
  12. ESPN Bottom Line is saying that Pujols has inflammation, bone spurs and tendon damage in his elbow, but will not be having any surgical procedure until the time is right for a "complete reconstruction of the elbow". things go from bad to badder down in Cardinal Nation
  13. i can't see why you'd be offended if someone assumed something really good about you
  14. they've said Friday will be his return, not today
  15. lol, seriously? is this really such a great insight that you felt the need to quote yourself? a stereotype is a stereotype is a stereotype. Saying that asians are good at math might seem like a compliment to you, but it really isn't. so no, all stereotypes are negative. if they weren't, we'd call them generalizations. how is saying that, in general, a group of people are good at something offensive to you? are you serious? i'm glad you're here to be offended on behalf of all ethnic groups. don't know how we'd get along without you

  17. I think you're missing the point. No one is saying that posting something on a message board is overblowing it. It's the fact that you're calling him a borderline racist. That's overreacting/overblowing. I didn't say he, the one and only Ryan Theriot, is a borderline racist. I said that the words that came out of his mouth were borderline racist. So who's missing the point/overreacting/overblowing? You people are pretty much falling all over yourselves to defend Ryan Theriot like he's some sort of infallible baseball jesus. Pointing out that what he said was offensive to at least some of those among us is not overblowing anything. Attempting to explain it away says a lot, though. not all stereotypes are negative
  18. i heard Theriot then invited him out for Sushi. OH THE HUMANITY

  23. maybe if he said it in an offensive chinese accent or something
  24. Otah. Or maybe Brohm? No. I much rather consider either Chad Henne or Joe Flacco in the 2nd rd then take Brian Brohm in the 1st. I am a Michigan fan, and I say: Dear G-d not Henne. Please not Henne. Huh? I think Henne's got a chance to be the best QB from Michigan in a long time. Sure as hell better than Navarre. best at Michigan or best michigan QB in the NFL?
