i too watch the games and think to myself what it would be like if he were playing CF hard to conceptualize, it's just such a maverick idea i wonder if any manager would ever try playing him there if only he had 265 games in CF to really know for sure
similar ERA, ERA+, WHIP, HR allowed, etc. Burnett has more K's but more walks as well. Blanton gives up more base hits. Either way, neither is very good
why? because the Bears will draw fans wherever they play (even Champaign) while the lack of attendance to Sox games is credited (partially) to the location. the theory is that if the Sox had a lakefront ballpark that more tourist/casual fans would attend games. 8 Bears games on the south side vs. 8 on the lakefront would make zero difference in attendance
Sorry to hear it man. Hope everything turns out for the best for you. thank you, he doesn't sound well and even then he said he was "bummed out" for me (great to hear an 81 yo man say that. you're right about the hot and humid part.
I don't have stats to back it up, but I would guess that there are more game-attending Sox fans in the suburbs than there are in the city. If they had built the stadium just outside of the city, the season ticket sales would have been much higher. Their relatively low attendance has more to do with suburbanites not wanting to drive into that part of town than anything else
Do you have down syndrome? God damn, you're stupid. Guy was only 23 and this is the best you can come up with. RIP. you realize the joke was about vance not winning the contest, not about the guy dying. oh, you didn't realize that.
there are few baseball analysts I dislike more than Orel. he's absolutely terrible did we just become best friends? (I've never been more excited to see a new movie than I am about Step Brothers) I think Will Ferrell is much better off in supporting roles. Frank the Tank > * his other roles. that movie was terrible
Agreed to an extent, but having metra as the only public transportation out there would create some problems. They would sell a lot more tickets in the burbs than they would at 35th/Shields
