    I still love that people are dismissing his 136 OPS+ at home because of his ballpark. That's too funny.

    so LSU clearly isn't very good

    i don't think many people thought iowa was terrible, except for overly-cynical iowa fans. it's certainly no walkover for penn state, but they certainly have a larger hurdle to clear before heading out to iowa city. Penn State has 2 weeks to prepare for that game. I'm hoping that if they win in Columbus next week that they don't think they can sleep walk through their final 3 games i wouldn't worry so much about that. there are plenty of valid criticisms of joe paterno, but failing to have his team ready is not one of them. i can't think of many times when they crapped the bed against an average team because they were either looking ahead or on a hangover after a big win. not this year at any rate. I love the fact that this team doesn't let up with a lead. That gives me a ton of confidence. Not once have they let a team back into a game after going up, especially in the 2nd half. They don't start "playing not to lose"

    yep. Depending on what happens with the BCS standings, you're looking at two Top-10 teams playing next week. I'm impressed with how well Penn State has made adjustments this year. They've started slowly a few times, but the coaching staff figures it out quickly. Michigan went from marching down the field 3 times to getting completely confused on offense.

    Looks like someone went into both the UM and PSU lockerrooms at halftime and reminded them which team they were. Penn State wins the second half 32-0

    I feel slightly better about the score going into the half. if we can stop Michigan on their first possession of the 2nd half, I'll feel even better.

    IT'S THE DEFINING PURPOSE OF THE GAME you're missing his point. oh, and I can't wait for 2 or 3 years from now when PSU plays Alabama OOC but Alabama happens to be 4-8 that year and then everyone bitches about how PSU never schedules anyone good for OOC if nick saban is still there - and given his history, that's a big if - alabama will not be 4-8. nick saban will change jobs two more times before then
