  1. the beauty of DirecTV is that for the 4+ years I've had it, I've never had to deal with the channel controversies. Big Ten Network, NFL Network, MLB.....all part of the standard lineup.
  2. You know how you would have not been robbed. Beating an Oregon St. team that managed to score 3 points against Pitt. Another year, another no championship for you. Soooooooooo sad. Oregon State is a good, consistent program though. And they beat Pitt without the Rodgers brothers (Quizz Rodgers was Pac 10 player of the year). I don't see what's such an embarrassment about losing to them. Well, Penn State beat Oregon State 45-14. And USC beat Ohio State 35-3. Citing the results of those two games means nothing because they cancel each other out. agreed. the transitive property doesn't apply to sports
  3. Penn State's vaunted O-Line is getting blowed up
  4. it's less about USC not going undefeated and more about who they lose to.
  5. Damian Williams is so open that he gains 30 yards a catch. the only joke in there is PSU's secondary
  6. If you're gonna cheat, you should get some results beyond a home game against either the 2nd place Big Ten team or the 1st place Big Ten team in a down year every single year.(That was a horribly structured sentence) Iowa in 2002, Michigan in 2003 and 2006, Illinois in 2007, Ohio State in 2008, Penn State in 2008... The poor Big 10 just is SOOO UNLUCKY that USC keeps catching them when they're down  You're grasping at straws. That's what we call missing the point. USC plays a home game every years on January 1st because they're too undisciplined to try against teams they should beat the crap out of. Their opponents in these games are 2nd place Big Ten teams if the Big Ten is good(becuase the 1st place team goes to the title game) or a 1st place Big Ten team when the conference is down. It's really hard to go undefeated and expecting a team to do it often, let alone every year, is pretty absurd. USC's talent level is head and shoulders above the rest of the conference. When they've lost (recently), it's been to far inferior teams. That's a coaching/discipline/motivation issue
  7. you either over estimate USC's offense or under estimate PSU's defense. I think USC wins, but the game will be low scoring No, I think I hit the nail pretty much right on the head. want an award or something? No, but I'd really like one of those attactive Penn State road uniforms. since we're in the pick em' thread, i'll say that I put 11 points on USC, so the only thing that comes as a surprise to me is the degree to which PSU is losing. FWIW, I think PSU would have lost to Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas and most of the rest of the BCS Top 10.
  8. Maybe its just the ones that I know personally. Though most PSU fans do look down at OSU as a renegade program, when their own program has been pretty shady the last couple of years. Well at least we don't have anyone in jail.....yet.

I'm not going to argue with that.
  10. DeRosa is yet another victim of the "Hendry's publicly stated offseason need of the year" nonsense. A lefty power bat would be nice, but not at the expense of downgrading elsewhere.
  11. Agreed, I think USC is just as good as Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida. Even though I always cheer for Big Ten teams. I am kind of glad that USC is drubbing PSU. 1st reason, help create BCS controversy. 2nd reason, help PSU fans get over their we are superior to the rest of the Big Ten attitudes, though their team has done nothing to have this attitude in the entire time they have been in the Big Ten. LOL. What PSU fans think that? Most of us start the season assuming we're going to be 8-4 with a trip to the Alamo Bowl. We lost to Michigan 10 straight times. Who the hell are you talking about? THEE Ohio State University fans are the insufferable douchebags

  13. hey jackasses, I think they're going to run another post route....think you want to get out of your useless zone?
  14. they literally just stand around on both ends of the court.
  15. if the Cubs traded DeRosa and Marquis and end up with neither Bradley or Peavy.....
  16. old news, but the Columbus Dispatch confirmed that DeRosa will be the full time 3B and bat 2nd. Sure wish the Cubs had batted him 2nd....
  17. yes! let's go spartans!
  18. hopefully for you, losing your top RB doesn't lead to an Illinois-esque collapse next year I think we have more returning/in the pipeline than Illinois did but no one will replace Shonn. 8 starters returning on each side of the ball and more young talent than we've had in a long time. Bad news is the schedule will be really tough. I don't even know who the RB for Illinois was this year. Penn State is in the same boat as you....good depth at skill positions. Our backup RB is as good as our starter.
  19. these outdoor games are cool in theory, but they look like ass on TV. I hate the background being snow piles and TV equipment
  20. hopefully for you, losing your top RB doesn't lead to an Illinois-esque collapse next year
  21. so have they explained (this year or last) why they don't have fans on the field? is it a sightline issue for those in the first few rows of the actual stands?
  22. They really should've charged more for the upper deck seats. A lot of the lower deck seats are awful
  23. :-)) HILL: Ryan, why do you keep throwing the fastball when I'm calling for the splitter? DEMPSTER: You're only putting one finger down HILL: :glare:
  24. I'm definitely going to be rooting for Penn State. I think it'll be much closer than most think - this PSU team is not the same OSU team that got blown away numerous times by athletic teams. Thank you. This "Big 10 teams get killed in BCS games" nonsense has to end. Since when are all teams from a conference over multiple seasons exactly the same?
