    Well I'm a lot less discouraged by this loss than Sunday's. As you said, at least Duquesne is a top 75 team. Again it was just missed shots. We had even more open looks than the first game but shot 6-27 from 3. I insist this is a good shooting team. In my opinion better than the last two years which shot 36% from 3. Defense was really good, rebounding is good. Just cannot make an open 3 to save our lives. we're kind of running out of games that we can win even if we do shoot well.

    This team is horrible. I said that when all the transfers happened that we would struggle to win 5 games. In reality I thought I was overreacting, because it's really tough for a BCS team to lose that few but after tonight, maybe not. Maybe our basketball team is what Washington State football team is to college football. That is the worst BCS program of all time. Stop. You're being an idiot. How? We just lost to Texas-San Antonio. Give me some reason to be optimistic. Or you could just insult me. Whatever. seems like a trend. i'm sure it's everyone else and not you, though.

    Unless they go to the rose bowl they should not make the BCS. Good to know. Texas has no business in the title game if Cincy wins out either. Hard to disagree with that, and for TCU and Boise St too. What teams does Iowa legitimately deserve to go to a BCS game ahead of though? Teams like Pitt, USC, Miami, and Penn State. Which is who they are competing against.

    Assuming Iowa wins next week, which isn't a given. They will. barring some major upsets, we win we're in the bcs.

There is no way Iowa shouldn't be in the Rose Bowl. I'm going to puke hardcore. fire ferentz right? you're a [expletive].

    Yeah, that last pick was all on Cutler... He's making risky throws where if one thing goes wrong it's a likely pick. Sometimes he'll make a great play and everyone will cheer, other times something goes wrong and its picked off. I've seen people make excuses for almost every single Cutler INT this year. In the NFL almost every pass is risky. I didn't see anything wrong with that last decision. One on one coverage wasn't bad but he underthrew it, giving the DB a chance to jump it. Like I said a lot of the time it's not a pick but Cutler tries to force throws all game and sometimes he's burned. I don't understand, do people not give Cutler any fault for most of his 16 INTs this year? I fully realize a lot of other things have gone wrong to lead to his picks, but he's still the man making the throws and more importantly the decision to make the throws. i agree with you umfan. but i'm not gonna panic over it. they need to figure it out for next year.

    I have a hard time believing the BCS bowls would be chomping at the bit to have a better chance of getting more teams with no fans in their games.

    Cutler won two games Kyle wouldn't have, but lost two Kyle wouldn't have. Hard to say that with Kyle's last outing, isn't it? Whatever do you mean, Orton doesn't make mistakes, he's a game manager, he just knows how to win. Despite any evidence to the contrary. Man you guys are bad. He has a bad game and you guys are foaming at the mouth. Get over it. Orton is as bad as people thought and Cutler isn't as good. That's not to say Cutler and Orton are equally good but stop trashing Orton every chance you get and stop talking up Cutler when he is obviously struggling mightily. yeah guys, stop talking up cutler so much!

    really dude? I'm not allowed to be happy for my team? WTF? When the Bears score there are going to be 10 posts with essentially the same thing. Maybe the thread titles each week should be The Bears Thread: Where only posts from Bears fans are allowed. Pretend that is the title. If that's what you want than go to a Bears message board not a Cubs one. don't you have some cars to go park?

    Get them. I renewed again this past summer. Until this week I was wondering why but now I'm halfway excited. I think if nothing else it will be a more watchable team. It's all his guys with the skillsets he wants and they don't look like 15 year olds anymore. Most of the team has gotten yoked up and should be a little tougher. May and Cougill will be able to provide more than I anticipated and Payne will struggle but is probably the best fit at PG Lickliter has had at Iowa. The core isn't that bad. They just can't afford any injuries. I think they'll be about like last year's team but a little more watchable. I sort of agree, but it's just not any fun at all. Of course, students get ripped all the time for not supporting teams (at most universities), but what's the incentive to go? Not fun, not exciting, maybe 3 conference wins, I will have to beg people to go with me or else go alone. Geez, I still consider myself a big fan, and I will almost certainly go to all of the games as I have for the past few years, but it's depressing to go in there right now.

    Any team that wears black tops with black pants automatically sucks. No sir. Black on Black is great, especially since the black tops and bottoms both have a lot of yellow and gold in them as well. Now, the Saints all black unis are ugly because they are all black except the little French emblem thing (whatever it's called) and the numbers. It would be hideous if the helmets were black. Black on black unis are always awesome. denied.
