  1. I wanted to take Brohm in the second round and not Matt Ryan. Good idea.
  2. I hope he is clean, but I doubt it
  3. Cubs win the Central. Rockies win the Wild Card.
  4. Two years ago, we didn't even had one good SS prospect
  5. Mark Prior is hot, okay.
  6. 4 years? more like 1.66 years Sorry that we don't have a top 5 starter at every position. I guarantee you about 20 other teams would love to have Theriot starting for them. At least 20. The only team that Theriot definitely wouldn't start for in the NL is Philly. Los Angeles maybe. but you can argue that he is better than Hudson and Furcal. Florida maybe, Uggla is a pretty bad baseball player at times. Out of all shortstops who have at least 250 PAs, Theriot has the 11th highest OPS. The guys ahead of him are Hanley Ramirez, Jason Bartlett, Troy Tulowitzki, Derek Jeter, Yunel Escobar, Marco Scutaro, Miguel Tejada, Asdrubal Cabrera, Stephen Drew and Erick Aybar. Theriot's a nice player to have and I have no problem with him starting. He'd be more valuable at second base, but he's a nice player overall. I didn't realize Cabrera was playing SS now. I've had it in my mind that he's a 2B
  7. Duke and Carolina probably shouldnt be 5 and 8, either.
  8. I don't think everybody thinks that Rhee and LeMahieu should be in there. There is also no chance Tyler Colvin makes my top 10. EDIT: Also, some people may not think Brett Jackson should be that high.
  9. At the end of the season, I think it would be kind of cool to come up with an NSBB top 10 and debate over it as a group.
  10. I want Maestri to do well so that we can have an Italian on the Cubs
  11. I would say there is a 100% chance Tyler Colvin does not make it
  12. Even with 3 subs in, Lou goes with the CF SS 1B 3B RF LF 2B C P lineup again
  13. Castillo, Colvin, Papelbon, Robinson or Clevenger should be protected off the top of my head. I haven't seen their stats in a little while though. I might be missing somebody or adding somebody that doesn't deserve it, though.
  14. Keeping the lineup as CF SS 1B 3B RF LF 2B C P made sense when Fox was giving Bradley or Ramirez a day off. It makes no sense to bat Blanco 2nd, though.
  15. I remember not being ecstatic about the Marquis trade, but that is just me.
  16. Maybe Youk splits time between 1B/3B, VMart between C/1B and Varitek and Lowell both get a good amount of off days
  17. Gorzelanny >>>>>>>>> Hart but Ascanio and Harrison >>>>>>>>>>> Grabow
  18. Yes, but that was on a minor league contract, so it wasn't an option. Now that he's been added to the 40-man roster he'd have to use an option to be sent down, and he doesn't have one. Therefore he'd have to clear waivers in order to be sent down. He is also the only reliable back up SS and Lou seems to like him so they will probabaly try to keep him around and send down players that have options (Fuld, Hoff, Baker, Stevens, etc) until the rosters expand. It would be nice if they could find a taker for Miles or let him stay in AAA all month but at this point neither of those seems likely. A bench of Hill, Blanco, Fox, Miles, Baker is not exactly awe inspiring but it may have to do for a couple weeks once Soto and Miles are back. Just DFA Miles and keep Hoffpauir
  19. Hopefully Blanco stays up and not Miles
