  1. No, that's almost exactly what you're saying. I've heard they're all friends as well, and I still don't see that being a legit reason to pay someone 6 million dollars. I think he's saying that the Cubs might have seen like 4 million dollars in value on Concepcion, but they thought that the extra 3 million was worth it because of his bond with Soler. right, davell?
  2. Barney didn't have a 2nd season in AA. That .339 is his combined OBP in 2009. And again you're using a hilariously small sample to attempt to show a "trend." Barney's improvement to .400 was over 15 PAs. No no no, it's okay to use OBP over a small sample, but not OPS
  3. by the way soccer, that would mean that an OB% of 360 in 2004 would be the equivilent of .340 this year. Thanks for the help it shows even more for my point that his 40 game split of .360 will likely go down this year. ohhhhhhh man do i love this post That's fantastic stuff WTF? he puts up a stat that in truth shows the opposite of his point, and I point it out and you have an issue with that? Love it
  4. These two things are not the same.
  5. Yeah, there's no way UNC leaves the ACC without Duke and NCSU
  6. Then you would have missed out on the Jim Edmonds era
  7. I say da bum gets freed if he posts his 90 page paper.
  8. Pitching seems about even. Slight edge to the Dodgers.
  9. Lamar Holmes?
  10. Want Falcons to take Massie here..
  11. I like it
  12. One thing to consider when talking about the Rays is that Jose Molina is supposed to be the best pitch-framer in the entire league. Recent studies have shown that pitch-framing is under-valued throughout the league and worth more than previously thought. Of course, these same studies showed Soto as comfortably above average
  13. Levine is saying that the LH reliever is Justin Thomas
  14. Franklin Morales, Justin Thomas, and Andrew Miller are the only LH relievers above AA. I'd take either one of Morales or Miller...especially Miller, who I think would be an excellent project for the coaching staff to take on. He's healthier than Gorz was when we picked him up, and at least as talented (really selling him short since Gorz had already torn his shoulder up)...THAT would be the type of deal I expect from an Epstein/McLeod front office. Boston did alot of work on Miller's mechanics last year and personally I liked what I saw, but since it was the early stages there were, of course, bumps. I was thinking the same thing about Miller... but he has been worth 4 wins under replacement for his career.
  15. Sounds like Not-Bowden and a prospect. Bowden is right-handed EDIT: I see you edited your post very quickly
  16. Saints take Cam Johnson, DE, Virginia
  17. Falcons take Ben Jones, C, Georgia
  18. With two teams under my control, I finally get to make my first pick. Falcons take Dwayne Allen, TE from Clemson to be Tony Gonzalez's successor
  19. How long until these threads are longer than the MLB ones?
