  1. So when is the IU apology coming for their fan behavior? Im sure they plan on issuing it soon For what? The Uconn game? If so, it has already been done. Several of the players did some PSA's that they played on the video board during the game. What does it matter anyway? IU didn't make them issue a statement.
  2. Apparently the Illinois athletic department has issued an apology for some of the fan behavior last night. Just caught the tail end of it on the news.
  3. He'd look a lot worse if he shook everyone's hand and ignored Gordon. This is a kid that lied to him for months, I don't blame him for having some bad feelings to him. I'd rather he be the better man, but I can see where he's coming from. Especially after how painful these 2 losses to IU have been. Weber has just, in my opinion, tried to take the high road with this situation in his public comments. But to see him to a 180 as soon as he reaches Sampson goes against all that. Its not a big deal, just something I don't quite understand. If Sampson can walk through the line of Illinois players, Weber could do the same.
  4. This most likely won't go over well either, but I see no reason why Weber does not go through the line and shake the players hands. Is it a huge deal, no. He could even kicj Sampson in the nuts, but ignoring the players just makes him look ridiculous. Ignore Sampson, no problem, but don't blow off the players.
  5. Not going to scream, I agree to a point. They are 4-0 against UI, SIU, and Ill St though. So it looks silly for fans of those teams to contantly say how bad IU is.
  6. You are seriously asking this? I realize what Gordon did was awful and stupid, but if you want to make someone pay, beat him on the court. What he did was classless. It was a hard bump, who cares? It's Lent and all but IDKWTI doesn't deserve any more turning of the other cheek. If I saw Daddy death threat one more time on my tv I was gonna hurl a brick through it. They don't show Jordan in the crowd as much as him. And he's ya know, an actual celebrity, in the game of basketball. DDT is just a pathetic hanger on who couldn't have a career of his own. I hope IDKWTI Culkins his ass sometime in the near future. Then maybe he can latch on to whoever that ugly little kid was he had at the game with him. (And yes, bitter Illini face) Hahaha... This is some classic stuff.
  7. Shaun Pruitt needs to order a dvd or something on shooting free throws. I thought for sure that game was over a couple times.
  8. Dusty will convince Krivsky that it's a good trade for them and those 3 "youngins" won't ever perform as well as the veterans. To be fair, if the Cubs had position prospects like Bruce or Votto when Dusty was around they probably would have played.
  9. It makes some sense. Reds need another SP, and it would be a bit of a homecoming for Blanton who attended UK.
  10. You can see most of these games on DirecTV channel 626.
  11. Who has bashed him? Pointing out that his return date is a question mark qualifies now?
  12. Not exactly. Daryle Ward is a lot better than Casey. They aren't even in the same ballpark. Murton is also probably a better bench player, although that one is a lot closer. How are we comparing Ward to Casey? Casey has had twice the career of Ward. I forgot Murton was still on the team, or assuming he wouldn't be. Casey has been declining the last 3 years and has never been a bench player. Ward has been the best pinch hitter in the entire league the last two years, putting up a .926 OPS and a 963 OPS respectively. If you were signing one to be a bench player, you would choose Casey? I certainly wouldn't. I would pick the one who has had recent success in that role rather than the guy who has continued to decline. I like Ward, maybe I would pick him. But his past two years have only been a little over 200 AB, I hope he can continue. But it isn't like he has a prolonged history to point to. I think in that limited amount of AB Casey can still be effective.

  14. I don't want to ruin the ever endless sarcasm party, but I think he helps out Boston as a LH bat off the bench. Very good OBP guy. He'd be the best bench player on the Cubs right now.
  15. Should be used to it. Haven't seen that #22 jersey very often lately.
  16. it's not in an MLB authorized park That seems like an easy enough loophole to close. The dimensions are smaller than the typical high-school field.
  17. Thank you... Been an irritation of mine as well, but thats how it goes.
  18. Yep. :? Are people still considering them to be "insiders"?
  19. We? Have a mouse in your pocket? Who knows that the Cubs could have done, it is all speculation. Let's see what the package is first.
  20. That's unfortunate for IU. I still expect a competitive game. UConn's huge frontline is still intact, which is what worries me. However, it would lessen a victory if IU wins; I wanted the Hoosiers to be fully tested. While I still think this will be a difficult game -- UConn is schizophrenic, IU could play the same and win by 15 or lose by 10 -- it won't mean quite as much. Indiana will be plenty tested at Wisconson thursday. What matters right now is how IU plays, not their opponent.
  21. I don't see how pretty much naming him the opening day starting CF at 23 years old is making it seem like they don't like him. I think Law could use a little more knowledge, but the Cubs let Pie languish on the bench last year and they've let it be know that they are at least looking for a platoon partner for him. However, according to his father Sean G. lost 25 pounds over the winter has been touching the high 90's on the gun. If he can get control of his pitches I think he can be more than a 4th starter. Colvin and Patterson I don't have much use for either since they moved Patterson from 2nd. If Colvin cannot handle CF his value also plummets. The funny thing is that If they traded Colvin, Patterson, Pie, and Cedeno they would be trading 3.5 centerfielders and .5 SS. Ronny has been working in the OF this Winter (not well if one wants to go by errors). Those errors have come mostly at SS. Not that that makes him a good CF.
  22. Ehhhhh... Defense hasn't improved much during the playoffs. If he fields like that in ST he could hit .400 and Piniella won't put him out there.
  23. Because they are Duke and UNC? That's my guess. At least this isn't the BCS so it doesn't matter all that much.
  24. New ESPN/USA Today poll is out. 1. Memphis (21) 17-0 765 2. Kansas (10) 18-0 754 3. Duke 15-1 682 4. North Carolina 18-1 666 5. Tennessee 16-1 653 6. Washington State 16-1 620 7. UCLA 16-2 581 8. Indiana 16-1 565 9. Georgetown 14-2 543 10. Michigan State 16-2 517 11. Wisconsin 15-2 443 12. Texas 14-3 381 13. Vanderbilt 17-2 336 14. Butler 17-2 316 15. Mississippi 15-2 284 16. Texas A&M 15-3 280 17. Pittsburgh 15-3 267 18. Villanova 13-3 257 19. Dayton 14-2 203 20. Marquette 13-4 158 21. Stanford 15-3 151 22. Xavier 15-4 112 23. Drake 16-1 92 24. Saint Mary's 15-2 89 25. Clemson 14-4 84 3 Big 10 teams in the top 11.
  25. Does Tom Coughlin castrate Tynes on the sideline?
