I never understood what people are trying to prove when they go out of their way to say they have no sympathy for someone in situations like this. If you don't care fine, but it's probably best to not say anything otherwise you come out looking, well, like Theo did in this thread.

The last 25 years or so Iowa State has had a solid basketball program. They've blown the last 5-6 years or so but other than that they've been, like I said, solid. I think you guys are getting too wrapped up in their football program.

He only seems to do it if there is no other choice. There was a time tonight when he was one on one with Staudemire I think and he looked to pass and after there were no options he then attempted to make a move. We got him to make moves in the post and he won't/can't do it.

Agreed. Take a pretty much guaranteed two with no time on the clock in exchange for a possible three that would have likely taken two more seconds off the clock at least.

I thought he was going to be pretty good when they announced he would be on the set. Whoops. He seems to try to be too serious when he was known for being goofy while he was playing.

I have no idea who I'd root for if Illinois played Iowa State. What an awful game to have exist.

when you're going for the number 1 seed, every loss means something. I think a healthy Bulls team beats everyone in the East aside from Miami regardless of home court advantage.

This has probably been the worst effort I've seen from the Bulls in a while. Especially on defense. They don't look like they're trying to close out on any shooters and there's really no help at all when a guy gets beat. This game sucks.

Boozer hasn't remotely tried to play defense tonight. This is a frustrating game.

The Knicks were gutting a team that wasn't any good to get Melo. The Bulls are gutting a team that won 62 games and aren't giving up its best player in the hypothetical deal. Way different. I could see the Bulls being worse off on winning a title this season if you pull the trigger on a Dwight trade because of all the depth you lose but they'd be set for years if Howard extends. That's true, the Knicks have been a poorly run franchise for so long and the Bulls have put together a very good team indicating that well, they aren't. The biggest thing for me is that I don't know if I want to part with Deng or not if he's part of the deal, this however, understanding that since I have watched pretty much every Bulls game the past couple of years I may be over valuing him but there is just so much that he does and does at a high level. Then again, inserting Howard may make what Deng does not as necessary and make him more expendable so who knows.

The Knicks trade for Anthony makes me less likely (and probably irrationally so) to want to gut the team to trade for him. It's irrational because Howard is way more impactful than Carmelo but at the same time, I kind of have somewhat of an emotional attachment to pretty much everyone on this Bulls team. I even love me some Boozer even though a good chunk of Bulls fans hate him.

Whoa! NEWSFLASH! IU just beat Iowa for the first time since Feb 2008, and they've finished bottom 3 in the conference that year and every year since. Hell, IU only has multiple wins in conference vs. Michigan, Penn St, Iowa, and Minnesota over the last 4 years. Of course, no IU player had ever beaten Kentucky, Ohio St, or anyone in the B1G/ACC challenge. Meaningless and nitpicky but IU beat Iowa in 2009.

Didn't watch the game but looked at the box score. Hopefully Woodbury can rebound. Sucks to see offensive number like they had in a loss.

There is no reasoning with some people... And yes, he uses hash tags on Facebook. Some people don't understand that bringing up injuries isn't an excuse thing, it's part of analyzing the game. Yeah, "You gotta win" that's why it still counts as a loss in the loss column. But, next time the teams play with Deng, whenever that is, the Bulls might have a good chance at winning because with out their second best player they almost did. People are annoying.

I'll trade this one for a playoff series win :) Showing LeBron a replay of his dunk and getting his commentary on it is stupid.
