  1. This game is frustrating me. Hope you guys will miss some jumpers. I feel like they keep hitting shots over guys.
  2. How does your incoming 7 footer play? I hope they get to battle. Hard to get a good grasp on a highly rated 7 footer playing in Iowa but they'll have their battles. He has to add some weight though. Leonard looks like he'd push him around right now and has about 15-20 pounds on him.
  3. Leonard is so much better than anyone Iowa has.
  4. I wish Iowa would make open shots.
  5. And now we know that time and place: first career NBA buzzer beater. Is it really his first ever? He had one vs Houston that tied it but this is the first game winner I believe.
  6. I'm surprised that I haven't seen the Vikings mentioned in going after Manning. Seems like getting him is the thing that they would try to do.
  7. Vogelbach will hit baseballs really, really far and will be awesome.
  8. Shot horribly but almost had a triple double.
  9. I'm annoyed that the year I move away from Iowa they have some good prospects there that I would really want to watch.
  10. I'm surprised that guy isn't getting banned. Seems like that type of troll usually gets banned. Irregardless, that type of troll is not entertaining in the least bit.
  11. Well, that made this one better.
  12. Rose needs to stop chucking threes and I bet the Bucks run a pick and roll.
  13. They just look so bad on defense. The Bucks are running the same play over and over again and we aren't stopping it at all.
  14. Defense and the Bulls effort just sucks tonight.
  15. Who can? Not Wisconsin or Minnesota :)
  16. I know someone here can provide an estimate of what a wasted service year would cost us and its going to be significant and well within the range of making it stupid to start Jackson in the majors. It's basically making the choice of a few months of Jackson hoping that he is good pretty much right away and also hoping that the team is good enough for it to matter (both of which are less than likely one would imagine) versus millions of dollars lost if Jackson does pan out to be a good major league starter. I see no reasoning behind wasting that arbitration year.
  17. I'll admit that I haven't paid the closest attention to this season but I had no idea that the Blues were really good. When did that happen?
  18. Yeah, that makes sense. I thought the implication was no Jackson in the majors this year period.
  19. No. By no means should he be starting this year in the majors. None. Couldn't there be benefits of utilizing a wasted season to develop a young player against big league pitching? Not that I'd do it but I think there could be positives to it.
  20. It would be hard for him to develop on the bench is pretty much what he's saying. Playing him everyday somewhere is the right move. In the past the Cubs have seemed to enjoy calling up players and having them sit on the bench and they never really developed at the pro level.
  21. I think the Brewers will be by far the best team in the division (though I always underrate the Cardinals) but I could see a scenario where every other team in the division struggles too. So with the right combination of luck I suppose competitiveness will be possible.
  22. I'm trying to excited about this season but since it's clearly a rebuilding year it's kind of hard to do right now aside from the fact that baseball is awesome. Every once in a while teams do come out of nowhere in baseball and are competitive for most of the season or even make the playoffs. Is there any indication sabremetrically or elsewhere that says that this Cubs team could compete this year? I kind of think that our pitching could possibly click and we have some decent defensive players so the Cubs could theoretically be a team that wins a lot of close games this year though I have a hard time seeing them scoring runs. Is there anything else out there to hope for as far as a successful 2012 Cubs season goes?
  23. I hate that a bunch of strangers success would mean so much to me.
  24. I don't know who's out there that I would consider trading either for aside from Howard.
  25. I'm still not sure if I want to trade Deng from this team for Howard. I think that trade pretty much ends their title hopes this year though it would likely strengthen their chances for a dynasty type run. Reasons I have a hard time doing it though is this teams depth, Deng and Noah make are the glue of the defense and I think team chemistry does matter in basketball and I don't like risking ruining the Bulls' when they already have the best record in the league.
