    CarGo has had a really solid career. He's just not that good anymore. Maybe he'll be our 2008 Jim Edmonds. Or he'll be our 2017 Leonys Martin.

    He hit a homer in Iowa and that's all they needed to see I suppose. He's not on the 40 man right? Aducci or someone like Collins or Webster getting DFA'd.

    The Phillies are getting Jay Bruce for basically nothing other than covering most of his salary. For someone who's been an All-Star three times and has 300 career homers, Bruce is a fairly forgettable/meh player.

    Now those are names I haven't heard in awhile. I still think it's wild Enrique Wilson had a .638 career OPS but had a .867 OPS against Pedro during his best years.

    Surprising but I like it. Our outfield depth is not very good and he can still hit a bit. I also didn't realize he's still just 33. Would've sworn he was like 36-37.

    Not sure why this was the best option for a bench bat but here we are. I guess it goes along with Maddon's comments that they dont want a young guy called up and not get playing time. Adduci was a Cubs minor leaguer from 2007-2012 and now finally gets a shot in a Cubs uniform.

    If we give up Amaya and Hoerner for a reliever, I think I'm done.

    Yeah, while I like some of the depth we have and the intriguing guys in Iowa, none of them should be relied heavily on. I had no clue that we'd be giving major innings to Kyle Ryan, Tim Collins and Allen Webster. We need to address this sooner rather than later.

    I'd rather give Norwood, Wick, Mills, Mekkes, Clifton a shot before Collins again. And I guess Rosario is dead now. As much as I like Maples, we need a little stability in the pen now and he could very well walk every batter he faces in his next outing.

    Rowan Wick getting called up. He's pitched very well in AAA. Xavier Cedeno to the IL with I'm going to assume a phantom injury.

    I don't think he's stupid. Everything he's done points to him being a sociopath. Regardless, he should be playing second base on the moon or something. There is literally no good reason to keep him on this roster. It's not even a personnel thing. We have Bote and Descalso. Happ is in Iowa (and so are Short and Machado and Adames and Giambrone and ...). There's several players on other rosters or are unsigned that would be adequate. It just makes no sense. Those comments from after the game are just even more proof. The front office may be hoping to get something for him like the Jays did with Osuna but it would be better to just outright release him.

    What's Brendan Little's deal? Is he injured? Or is he starting at Eugene? (which would be disappointing).

    Yeah Allen Webster's days are numbered. I'd like to see some guys in Iowa like Mekkes, Mills or Wick but I wouldn't mind an established piece either. Intrigued by Barraclaugh as a cheaper option if the Nats keep sucking. Also liked Tony Watson on the Giants awhile. Maybe a Melancon for Chatwood deal could be struck.

    Seriously, he's on track to be activated as early as Friday. Is there a chance we never see him in a Cubs uniform again? I'm really hoping we just release him or some team decimated by injuries buys that he's "reformed" and gives us something.
