  1. We're gonna just end up bringing back Kipnis on a minor league deal and call it a day at second base. Did you guys know he's from the Chicago area?
  2. Traded for him at the deadline while he was on IL. He came back at the tail end of the season, pitched just 3 innings.
  3. I'm a fan of this. I liked the acquisition at the deadline and he's been good over the years. If he's over his injury then he's a solid left for the pen, especially if Kyle Ryan can't figure it out.
  4. That trade will go down as one of, if not the worst, in Pirates history right? Aramis Ramirez for basically nothing and Gerritt Cole for spare parts were both pretty bad but the three guys the Pirates gave up could be stars and Archer imploded in Pittsburgh and then returned to Tampa.
  5. Angels giving up a decent prospect for a pitcher who hasn't been good since 2017
  6. He looked like he was gonna break out and then took a major step back. Good project for the pitching lab and good depth. Assuming the money isn't much. I assume they bring back one of Arrieta/Shark now and have an all buy-low rotation. Could do worse than: Hendricks Davies Alzolay Mills other vet starter Trevor Williams/Shelby Miller and AAA guys like Tyson Miller, Cory Abbott, etc. And forgot Kohl Stewart, who got a MLB deal.
  7. La Russa is drunk tweeting from Bob's account [tweet]https://twitter.com/BNightengale/status/1355583462078439424[/tweet] Closer?
  8. Phillies bringing back Didi
  9. [tweet] [/tweet] Thanks I hate it
  10. The Indians just gave Eddie Rosario $8 mil on a one year deal, so I like this more.
  11. Lol, that aged well. I think it’s more like they’re wondering whether Rick Reuschel or Rueben Quevado still have it..... Ruben Quevedo does not still have it. Yeah but Todd Wellemeyer might! Also everyone is upset about Jon Lester leaving but I bet the OG Jon Leicester is just sitting at home waiting for a call.
  12. Not sure he's better than Schwarbs but it's not bad for a one year deal. Someone had to play LF so why not a guy who isn't useless with a glove and could pop 30 homers.
  13. Feels like he's just taking the Colin Rea role. It's fine, maybe there's still something there.
  14. Kuhl and Frazier would be nice Lol the Pirates are gonna be pulling fans in off the street to fill out the rotation. NL Central will be the opposite AL East
  15. Oh my Go Blue Jays. Love they're making moves. Reid-Foley is a guy I liked awhile.
  16. Andrelton Simmons to the Twins on a one-year deal. That's an odd fit. Polanco and Arraez have up the middle covered and Donaldson at 3B.
  17. Orioles signed Freddy Galvis. Another PTR player off the market.
  18. Yankees essentially sold Adam Ottavino and a prospect to the Red Sox.
  19. None of those players are top 10 prospects for the Yankees it appears though Canaan Smith could be a breakout prospect and Yajure made his MLB debut this season. Still don't understand why the Pirates felt the need to make this trade now.
  20. That would be trading for the sake of trading. Taillon is still cheap and under control and his value is arguably at its lowest with him missing last year and most of 2019.
  21. We can joke about this but it's a fine move. He's been a decent backup in the past and it's not much money. If we trade Wily and Romine gets 300 at bats then it's a problem.
  22. J.A. Happ to the Twins, one year and $8 mil
  23. Well that was somethin
  24. They're going wild, though I don't know where there's room for everyone. I assume Grichuk gets traded now.
  25. It's a one year deal, seems to be more insurance in case Heaney/Canning break down and Ohtani is toast. I still think they're a landing spot for Bauer.
