  1. Yeah, Seibel had a good year, but I think I read that he's 28, which would hardly make him a prospect.
  2. I can imagine Taveras and Izturis hitting 1-2. Gotta have speed in the leadoff spot and gotta have someone who "handles the bat" (most inane baseball cliche ever) hitting second. Thank God Dusty's gone, or we'd have to endure that on a regular basis.
  3. No, please. I'd rather stick with Jones in CF. Taveras is not much better than Pierre.
  4. Orioles fans will rejoice if this goes down.
  5. Gotta have those toolsy guys. Hopefully some of them can reach their potential. I'm looking at you, Ryan Harvey.
  6. Those seem relatively close to what those players might put up this year. I hope the top 3 perform better than that though.
  7. Indeed. Particularly for those who don't regularly play a guitar. I guess that's why I never experienced any problems. :P
  8. Ben Maller of foxsports.com wrote today: The new Cubs to-do list includes adding a left-handed-hitting outfielder, although the team seems to be in no hurry to sign free-agent outfielder Cliff Floyd, who has physical questions after missing parts of last season with Achilles' tendon problems.
  9. Playing Guitar Hero. I've played it and never suffered any injury:
  10. I'm seriously starting to think he's trying to see how far he can go until he actually does get fired.
  11. Interesting move. Looks like the Mariners give up on Snelling. Aside from the injuries, he has a lot of potential.
  12. Jones is too young to play in SF. You need an AARP card to be a Giant. Cubs get: Baldelli or Crawford + Reid Brignac (ss prospect) Giants get: Jones, Dempster, $6mil from Cubs Marlins get: Benitez, Scott Moore, Giants prospect + $6mil from Giants D-Rays get: Cedeno + Nolasco + Marlins pitching prospects fair? Just trying to get a centerfielder outta the deal. Jones, Dempster, Moore, Cedeno and 6 mil might not be enough to get Baldelli, Crawford, or Brignac (who is easily one of the top 2-3 SS prospects) I was thinking the same thing. It might take one of Gallagher/ Veal/ Pawalek in addition, especially if we are getting Crawford in return.
  13. Jones is too young to play in SF. You need an AARP card to be a Giant. Hahaha, it's funny cuz it's true.
  14. Really? Haven't heard much about him.
  15. He may not be a great pitcher, but he sure is a good guy.
  16. I think the Dodgers could find a better deal for Penny and I don't know why they'd want Jones since they just signed Gonzalez.
  17. DeRosa Yeah, I assume, unless we sign someone else, DeRosa would slide over to third when A-Ram needs a day off and Theriot would play 2nd.
  18. I think that's a reasonable assumption. I always wondered what he'd do over a full season.
