Agreed. Add to that the cost of trying to sign him to an extension too, and our budget would take a hit. Santana would look good in Cubbie blue, but it's probably not worth it.

Jason Tyner needs one homerun for the only one of the 6+ years of his career.

Way too much for a guy who is ideally a 3rd or 4th starter. I expect his ERA to approach 5.00 next season, just to spite the Reds for this extension.
