  1. Who died and made you Mark Bellhorn? I was, am, and always will be a big Bellhorn fan.
  2. Maybe there isn't going to be one. The story of this franchise. Get excited for nothing.
  3. Hmmm. That would also take Soriano out of the leadoff spot, giving him more RBI opportunities.
  4. I have no problems with that lineup. Probably most ideal. Agreed
  5. I'll say. I just heard that he wants "new" baseballs. Surely Jimbo should realize that he won't get that much.
  6. It was a bad signing regardless of what he provided in 2006. In terms of looking at the signing from a 2005 perspective, Hendry gave him at least one too many years. It wasn't going to be the contract that killed us, but it didn't bring in a particularly talented player and guaranteed him 3 years, so from that perspective, yes, it was a bad signing. From the perspective of final results of the contract, if we can trade him, I'd say Hendry got lucky on a bad contract and made it a wash. you could, but who else di we miss out on while Jones was plaugging RF? Props to Hendry, however, for realizing his mistake. Cesar Izturis is still on the roster.
  7. Isn't that the guy who gave him a backloaded 3/16 deal? If you don't make fun of him for a week, I'll pick up the slack. I anticipated someone would.
  8. If Hendry can dump Jones by the end of the day, and actually get a living breathing human being in return not named Neifi Perez or Jose Macias, I won't make fun of him for a whole week.
  9. Oh man, I always liked Rod Beck RIP :(
  10. It doesn't have to be baseball's, it could be golfballs, softballs, tennisballs. I'll take hockey pucks. And I'll go as far as to take badmiton birdies.
  11. I grew up a Magic fan, and a huge Penny fan. We share the same birthday. I was very unhappy the day he was traded and that was the beginning of the end for me in terms of paying attention to the NBA.
  12. I'm surprised I'm not losing by more. I guess I have a lot of fans.
  13. Nice. I would like to see his BB numbers improve, but good to see him hitting.
  14. I just checked my 2001 Baseball America Prospect Handbook, and BA had Bowen listed as the Twins 7th best prospect that year. He was drafted one round ahead of Morneau, and BA at the time said: "He doesn't have Morneau's bat, but Bowan's defensive skills put him on an identical track record now." "Mobile behind the plate and has strong arm." "...dominant on defense..." "A switch hitter, he has more power from the right side." Yeah, I know this is an old scouting report, but I thought it may be helpful.
  15. I think my run will be coming to an end. At least I think Banedon is a good poster and wouldn't mind losing to him. Still, vote for me! Let's see how many people still like me more than the other guy.
  16. Whoa, I just got on and saw this. IIRC, Bowen was a decent prospect for the Twins a few years back. He's young enough and I hope this works out, but I am sure gonna miss Barrett.
  17. I like Phillips, even though he was pretty streaky last year. With steady PT, he could be above average. OF course, the way the Yanks have played Doug M and Cairo over Phelps, I doubt Phillips will see much action. I can definitely see them dealing for someone like Todd Helton.
  18. Same here. That Orlando Cabrera/ Mike Cuddyer for Felipe Lopez/ Lance Berkman trade backfired on me. I'm just gonna go out on a limb and guess that your fantasy team needs more than a Harris hot streak to get it going? 12th place out of 14 teams :D . I've sorta given up on it and focused more on my other team that's tied for 3rd. I sure am glad I stuck with Cabrera, this month long hot streak has been great to both of my fantasy teams. ::rubs salt in wounds:: Eh, didn't see it coming. I thought I was getting the better of that trade.
