  1. Wow, I forgot they got Haren. They could get to the playoffs again.
  2. You forgot the misspellings and complaints of misspellings I'm also calling for a Brian Roberts joke somewhere along the lines. I find all of these jokes pretty funny, for the record. So it's not like I'm complaining. The Brian Roberts thread will never die. Unless it is killed by Geovany Soto.
  3. Yeah, it's not really a problem. Now, if our 3 lefties were Mark Hendrickson, Horacio Ramirez, and Mark Redman, then we have a problem.
  4. OMG, I don't believe it. This trade is gunna happen. Put it down.
  5. He hit .293 which would've been towards the top for this team. Not to mention the 60+ SBs he brings to the table. I'd rather have Pie in CF just for the sake of developing a young guy by letting him play. But if he goes, I'd take Pierre over w/e trash you have in mind (Byrd?) any day. BA and SB aren't exactly good evaluators of a player.
  6. Guerra does have the ceiling to be a #1 if he ever got that curveball. I can't believe the Twins didn't get Fernando Martinez out of this trade at least. Awful, it sounded like the Red Sox were offering more a few months ago in those rumored trades. How would Veal, Gallagher, Pie, and Ceda compare to that package? At first glance probably about the same or slightly better.
  7. You mean all those photos of him in a Cubs uniform from the 150 page thread weren't true?
  8. They should all just storm the executive offices. I'd be pissed if I were them.
  9. He'll hit homeruns and play defense. That's about it.
  10. Yeah, it is. If the Blues had signed him, they might become my third favorite team. Of course, that didn't happen.
  11. Sir, you are guilty of not watching the games. Soto will win the NL MVP and hit 75 HR's in 2008. No one will steal a base on Geovany Soto unless they know what's good for them. Soto will burn down the house of anyone who even remotely thinks of stealing a base on him. Soto will have a CERA of 1.25. He would make it lower, but he honestly doesn't want "GOD" status in just his rookie season. Is it now time for Geovany Soto jokes a la Chuck Norris? This seems to have some potential, if you ask me. :D When Geovany Soto does pushups, he doesn't push himself up, he pushes the ground down.
  12. There must be different levels of GRIT because Riot hasn't led us to the promised land yet.
