    Well, it appears the Vikes are close to dealing their 1st and 3rd round picks this year and their 2nd round pick next year to the Chiefs for Jared Allen.

    Allen's a real good player, but I doubt he's worth that much. That's a king's ransom. Also, in other news, I heard the Bengals turned down an offer of two first round picks for Ocho Cinco. Not a good move on their part methinks. Yeah, it's a bit much, but the Vikings are most likely gonna spend their 1st round pick on a DE anyway.

    Vikings need playmakers. The TE spot is weak (Shiancoe was a terrible signing). The team improved the WR corps by adding Berrian, and though we could use a good QB to get the ball to them, I don't like any of the QBs at this point in the draft. So: Vikings select John Carlson, TE, Notre Dame
