  1. i think you're confusing dayn perry with mike celizic i dont really know what type of in-depth sports analysis you'd expect from MSNBC nobody in the country would even know who this guy was if he werent constantly ridiculed on a blog ok, then joe morgan or bill plaschke or whatever. everyone bitches about dayn perry, but he's better than about 98% of the baseball writers out there. That's pretty sad.
  2. I just made a trade. I need a better first baseman because Swisher isn't cutting it. I traded Hunter Pence and Jered Weaver for Conor Jackson and Scott Olsen. I then proceded to drop Billy Butler and picked up David Murphy, who will replace Pence. Thoughts?
  3. For the past few seasons, I've been in favor of acquiring Ibanez for the right price. If it wouldn't take much and the M's eat some salary, let's cut ties with Edmonds. However, I'm not sure how easily the M's would wanna part with him and I don't know how Fukudome would react to being regulated to full-time CF.
  4. I don't read Dayn Perry articles, they make me dumber.
  5. I heard about this. It's time for him to hang em up. In his prime he was untouchable.
  6. Never played great defense, but arguably the best hitting catcher of all time. Enjoy retirement, Mike.
  7. I'm excited about this. I was hoping Fox would do better but man he must be brittle if that's how he gets hurt.
  8. For the last time, it was previously worked out that the Cubs would draft a player for the Reds and trade/sell him to Cincy. There never was a possibility of us keeping him.
  9. Not surprised. They've wanted him for awhile. I'm kinda shocked the Padres didn't make a bigger play for him. Their offense could use a boost, and as bad as it sounds, Jacque would probably be one of their better hitters.
  10. Mark Prior is looking that list over and over and wondering where his name is.
  11. Maybe he should seek another profession.
  12. Holliday would be a dream, but I think the Rockies' asking price would be sky high.
  13. What's even funnier than the payment itself is the fact that Mercker's jersey is present in the photo.
  14. Soooo, why is Lou batting Fukudome and Edmonds back to back in the lineup?
  15. Agreed, he's MLB ready, and while he may not be great in the majors he's certainly paid his dues in the minors.
  16. If I was 21, I'd be drinking heavily right about now. Alas, I have to wait 2 more months for this team to drive me to the bottle.
  17. Yanks have a crowded OF and would lopve this deal. We're trying to strengthen the rotation and this trade only weakens it.
