  1. He'd be Milton Bradley without the plate discipline. No.
  2. I'm not even attempting that.
  3. But Hee Seop Choi appeared in a home run derby...
  4. Thank you Bruce. Hear anything juicy or is it basically calm, besides the trade?
  5. Not a great deal. He'll be a little better offensively, but won't provide the same defense. He won't make or break their playoff odds though.
  6. Why not, he's a future DH in the AL. Because he doesn't hit well enough to cover up for his terrible defense? Is it that hard to understand? Your comments describe Cust perfectly too. And I think Fox is better than Cust with his .239 career average. Cust is actually probably the upside of Fox. Cust has a career .829 OPS, he's fairly valuable. But Cust's plate patience is much better than Fox's.
  7. We trade Miles, then go after this guy. Way to make me hate you again Hendry.
  8. Gray seems like a decent cheap reliever and the other two seem like they have some potential. That might not sound great, but it's awesome considering they took Miles off our hands. Thank you Billy Beane.
  9. That's a steal, IMO. I think he's still got some left in the tank. I wouldn't call it a steal, but he'll be good barring any injury.
  10. See the problem there lies in the fact that Theriot>Blanco. Offensively Theriot is better. Defensively Blanco is much better. That said, I'd probably prefer to go with Theriot at SS and Baker/Fonenot at 2B this season. Agreed. I like Blanco on the bench as a defensive backup. But I don't want him starting.
  11. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&page=rumblings091119&campaign=rss&source=MLBHeadlines I like the sound of that.
  12. http://bbwaa.com/ Pujols wins NL MVP DLee finished ninth. And Jeremy Affeldt got a vote.....
  13. Bradley and Guillen together would be monumentally awesome It would be like a sitcom between two bickering roommates, except too vulgar for any regular cable channel. I'd watch.
  14. No. If we sign Calero it's because Jim gave him a three year, $15 million deal with a player option for a fourth year.
  15. This would be nice. I give it a 0 percent chance of happening.
  16. I feel like this is gonna happen soon. The wheels are in motion with the Heilman trade now happening.
  17. Maine had decent numbers this year. BA said before the season that White could develop into a more powerful version of Sean Casey.
  18. Nothing Kaplan says is worth much and I have no idea who wrote this, but Bradley and Miles for Milwood would be nice. While I think Bradley will do better next year, being able to ship him and atrocity of Aaron Miles for a pitcher like Milwood isn't a bad deal.
