  1. aaron miles hit zero home runs in 170 plate appearances last year. it is very unlikely he would manage to do so in such a big spot. Which makes it all the more likely it happens. Just to spite us.
  2. He crossed the picket line and became replacement player during the '94 strike.
  3. I hope it happens. Yankees fans are getting excited at the prospect of having Mauer in pinstripes already. And the Twins need something like this, too.
  4. I don't think it's a big deal. Nady, Tracy and Hoffpauir would all be ahead of him on the depth chart anyway. The only way he makes the team is if he decides to hang around at Iowa and someone gets hurt.
  5. I dont think it warrented all that. The expletive wasn't really a bad word, but whatever I'm sick of Jim toying with my emotions! Now I have to hate him again! I hated him even when he was here.
  6. Good. I prefer Nady. Dye thinks he'd get more but I don't see other teams knocking each other out of the way to sign him.
  7. Imagine what he could've accomplished had he been healthy. Would be one of the best pitchers in the game. At this point, I'd just like to see him be able to appear in one game for anyone (except the Cards).
  8. There's nowhere for him to play. If he wants a minor league contract, sure. But he shouldn't be on this team.
  9. Not great, but not that bad. He isn't likely to improve but provides better defense than Damon.
  10. I'd take him on a minor league deal, but that's about it.
  11. Nice addition. He's in a decline but can still be productive, especially on a team with only three (maybe four) actual offensive threats.
  12. Agreed. This could be a good low-risk, high-reward move.
  13. Yeah, this doesn't make much sense, and he wants more than he's worth.
  14. I like it. If he has a resurgence, he'll be a great addition to the bench.
  15. Have you seen our front office? We'd be better off having no one in charge.
  16. ](*,) Park and Silva in the pen next year would be a blast.
  17. Can I say on here that my disdain of Brett Favre encompasses my hatred for anyone else? Oh well, I said it.
