  1. Yeah, that makes more sense. Weems is behind Montero, Romine and Cervelli on the organizational depth chart at catcher.
  2. In reference to the Martinez deal. Hagadone was the Sox No. 3 prospect entering the season according to BA.
  3. I think he had better worry about making the playoffs first. Actually, the Cubs have needed another lefty in the bullpen since Cotts imploded. Gorzelanny and Marshall add a lot of depth to the starting rotation in case of injuries, poor performance, or team matchups. Also, don't forget the impact of this trade on the future. If Grabow doesn't meet expectations, he could net the Cubs 2 draft picks. Marshall and Gorzelanny could step right in as possible starters if Harden isn't resigned. Who's going to sign Grabow if they have to sacrifice 2 picks to get him? Someone would be dumb enough.
  4. Yeah. He'd only be needed for a couple weeks until Brett Gardner returns from the DL. I mean, they employed Cody Ransom at third while A-Rod was out. I don't think this would be a big deal to them.
  5. Luke Scott is underrated and having a monster season. I'd take him but we have nowhere for him to play.
  6. Not that I want us to focus on a LOOGY, but how bout bringing back Mahay? Decent numbers against lefties. Make the Royals pick up half his salary.
  7. The Yanks wanted him. Maybe they grab Patterson now.
