  1. That's a steal, IMO. I think he's still got some left in the tank. I wouldn't call it a steal, but he'll be good barring any injury.
  2. See the problem there lies in the fact that Theriot>Blanco. Offensively Theriot is better. Defensively Blanco is much better. That said, I'd probably prefer to go with Theriot at SS and Baker/Fonenot at 2B this season. Agreed. I like Blanco on the bench as a defensive backup. But I don't want him starting.
  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&page=rumblings091119&campaign=rss&source=MLBHeadlines I like the sound of that.
  4. http://bbwaa.com/ Pujols wins NL MVP DLee finished ninth. And Jeremy Affeldt got a vote.....
  5. Bradley and Guillen together would be monumentally awesome It would be like a sitcom between two bickering roommates, except too vulgar for any regular cable channel. I'd watch.
  6. No. If we sign Calero it's because Jim gave him a three year, $15 million deal with a player option for a fourth year.
  7. This would be nice. I give it a 0 percent chance of happening.
  8. I feel like this is gonna happen soon. The wheels are in motion with the Heilman trade now happening.
  9. Maine had decent numbers this year. BA said before the season that White could develop into a more powerful version of Sean Casey.
  10. Nothing Kaplan says is worth much and I have no idea who wrote this, but Bradley and Miles for Milwood would be nice. While I think Bradley will do better next year, being able to ship him and atrocity of Aaron Miles for a pitcher like Milwood isn't a bad deal.
  11. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/features/column.aspx?sport=MLB&columnid=2&articleid=34139 Has us signing Felipe Lopez (2 years, $11 mil) and Chone Figgins (4 years, $48 mil) with the assumption of Lopez as our second baseman and Figgins as our center fielder. I highly doubt that happens.
  12. Home run numbers are pretty down to earth.
  13. I like Rotoworld and like getting their take on some things, but times like this, their two cents don't matter. Fair enough. I honestly can't see the Tigers trading him unless they're blown away with a package. And I don't know that our farm system is deep enough yet to make an offer that would blow anyone away without depleting it.
  14. I'd really like to see our guys from this draft come out big, like LeMahieu and Raley.
  15. I like Rotoworld and like getting their take on some things, but times like this, their two cents don't matter.
  16. Do not want. He won't be as good as he was last year. I'd rather have Cameron if it came down to that.
  17. I clicked on add to cart and shipping is 20 bucks.
  18. I'm pretty sure Shark has a NTC. Yeah, I keep forgetting about that. That was smart on Jim's part.
  19. Well, unlike those two, there's been no confirmed interest yet. Just people like Wittenmyer and Rogers saying the Cubs should go after him.
  20. Looks like he expects guys to bounce back (Fontenot, Soriano, Soto) but still only has us as an 83 win team.
  21. I don't know that I'd give up what the possible demands are, but I do think he'll bounce back this year. I'm sure they'd love a Vitters/ Theriot return. But then where does that leave us at shortstop? Get a one year stopgap like Tejada to give Castro another year to develop? If it were me, I'd offer Marshall, Fox, Castillo, Samardzija and a mid level pitching prospect.
