    After 10 that's quite a drop off. And I know he had a great debut and was a 2nd round pick but feels like Kepley is being over-ranked.

    I mean it's one year of Ward vs. four years of Rodriguez. If he's healthy that is a big get for the Angels. The obvious problem is he hasn't been healthy in a year and a half.

    I was half-joking. I miss his personality and power but he's basically unplayable in the field. I wouldn't mind him on the bench but I think we could do better.

    We're gonna get 40 man roster news soon. Triantos feels like he will get added. As will Pedro Ramirez. I wonder if they're worried enough about McCullough or Noland to add them. And I don't know where Birdsell is in his rehab but would a team take a chance on a guy that won't pitch for awhile?

    Honestly fine with it. Gives them the option to look into Cease or talk trade with other clubs. They still could pursue both avenues.

    I know it feels like the "cheap" option but adding Adell gives some runway/buffer for Caissie in RF should he stumble. Going into last season with Jon Berti as our backup OF went as well as everyone expected. I wonder if the Angels could be open to an Adell/Detmers package. Kill two birds with one stone.

    MLBTR dropped their top FA list and predictions: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/11/2025-26-top-50-mlb-free-agents-with-predictions.html They have the Cubs in on (there are 4 writers that each pick where they think the player will go): Framber, Ranger Suarez, Imai, Woodruff, Okamoto, Luke Weaver, Seranthony Dominguez, Fairbanks, Mahle. So basically they all think the Cubs add one starter and at least one reliever but don't address offense among the top guys on the market. They predict Tucker getting 11/400.

    Is Gallen broken? He has ace stuff but had a really rough year. Feel like I read it was a combination of bad luck and his curve not working as well as it had. He'd be cheaper than the other top options.

    The bench looked awful on paper entering the season and then, by some miracle, it looked awful in reality.

    So he takes it, we get him back for one year. He declines it, we get a pick. It's fine. Surprised we attached one to him but maybe there was some thought he would accept and they wanted him back for just one more year. We CANNOT though run it back from last season's rotation. Yeah Steele is back but you don't really know what you're getting out of him.

    Honestly think everyone here should be in. Valenzuela, Mattingly, Murphy were among the best at their positions for a decade. Delgado is often overlooked for playing on some bad teams and being a power hitter during the steroid era but he was elite.

    I honestly wasn't sure he'd survive the roster cuts last year after adding Rea. Same this year but now he's coming off an injury-shortened season and we would be selling low in a trade.
