Fangraphs talked to Ben Brown about his new two-seamer. Seems like it's looking good so far. He said he learned it from Clay Holmes in the offseason.

Kinda feels like Conforto and McCormick are gonna make the team barring injury or they look downright awful the next few weeks. McCormick can play all three OF spots and has a plus glove, in addition to the options mentioned above.
Conforto has some power and a higher offensive floor than Carlson right now but Carlson is a good option to have in Iowa unless he has an Opening Day opt out.
The Conforto deal makes a little more sense now in terms of bench power but he's never played first base. Even if he and McCormick both make the roster I'd guess some combination of Shaw/Bregman/Mo relieve Busch on days off?
20 years later I'll never forgive him. It's not unrealistic that we could've been better with a fully healthy Lee those next couple years, as the injury sapped his power a bit and he probably could've hit 400+ homers. At least that's how teenage me remembers it.
He's been terrible for the last two years. I prefer McCormick as an option, who has also been bad for two years but at least has a decent floor as a good fielder.
Solid B for me. I think If we had added more infield depth and a closer type for the pen, I'd have given an A. But overall I like what we did. I feel better about the team this spring than I did last year.
Ok yeah thing is if it's not Gallen then no other SP on the market is better than what we have. And between Alcantara, Carlson, McCormick I'm feeling ok about 4th OF. Now if they got a RF/DH type big bat that's another story but I don't know who fits that bill.
