Guess which one of these lines is Soriano's 2005 away line, and which one is Neifi's 2005 line. A) .274/.298/.383/.681 B) .224/.265/.374/.639 Hint: It's B i don't think there's any way soriano would put up those #'s over the course of an entire season away from arlington. that being said, i sure hope there's a really, really good backup plan for lf if the cubs do this trade. -

you know what could have prevented the media from hounding you about taking steroids? not taking steroids. awesome hitter...would have been an easy HOFer w/o the roids...but what a baby.

just curious...do you get mad at zambrano when he does stupid things like get ejected, argue w/ umpires, throw at batters, slide head first, show up his teammates, etc? because i bet all the coaches told him not to do that stuff.

100% agree. I've yet to see any evidence from Abuck about the Cubs not offering any advice for wood. and i have yet to see any evidence from anybody that he's been offered advice and refused to take it.

Wait... are you saying it's not his fault that he gets injured all the time? how would it be his fault? if his mechanics are causing the injuries, it is the job of the coaching and training staff to fix it. that's not the responsibility of a 25 year old who has never coached nor gone to college. if rothschild came out and said 'we've been telling him to change his motion for three years, and he refuses to make adjustments' then that would be wood's fault. but that apparently isn't the case. why would kerry be asked to do the job of the pitching coach and the trainer? Do you really think that no coaches, trainers, or doctors have talked to Kerry and gave recommendations as to how to not get hurt every two weeks? I think it's pretty safe to assume that Kerry has been given plenty of advice over the past few years. It's his own fault that he hasn't followed it. safe to assume? you have NO evidence whatsoever that wood has been given instruction and refused to follow it. with the way the cubs have been willing to throw their own under the bus lately, do you really think they'd have missed a chance to wash their hands of responsibility for wood's injuries? give me a break. if he was so uncoachable and difficult, why'd they give him a three year extension?

well, another one trick pony ex-st. louis cardinal (o. smith) got in on the first ballot while a much more complete cub (sandberg) didn't. so you never know.

Might have something todo with the fact ISU has no post game and thus shoots a lot of jumpers. (They're one of the worst teams in the Big 12 w/ regards to getting to the line). Conversely, KU has plenty of bigs to toss it down to, adn they also penetrate more, which is why they shoot more FT. iowa state's offense is completely dependent on penetration. blaylock and stinson taking to the rim is their whole offense. they do chuck a lot of threes, but those mostly come from penetration or the threat of penetration.

kansas has only shot 21 more free throws than iowa state today. that seems about right.

someone else was saying its good. hard to trust the opinions of college kids sometimes so its good to hear it from you. Has to wait for PPV though! it is really good. it's quite similar to crimes and misdemeanors, one of my favorite woody allens.

last year's standings say different. actually guys like clark, davis, and turnbow have done something...much, much more than cedeno or murton, that's for sure. why should we give the benefit of the doubt to the cubs' young guys (murton, cedeno), iffy veterans coming off bad years (jones, pierre), and guys coming off unusually good years (howry, dempster, lee, neifi, eyre) but not the brewers'?

i'm looking forward to going to a bunch more games this season. they've done some remodeling at the park, so it should be pretty nice.
