  1. Who else you gonna run out there until the injured guys get back? Nobody else has done anything to warrant getting the spot. neither has rusch.
  2. well, rusch has locked up a rotation spot for a month.
  3. you're gonna need to change the title of this thread.
  4. that's ridiculous. it would take him two seconds to look up cedeno's minor league numbers. of course, he really didn't make that assumption. he just said that to take a veiled shot at the posters who like cedeno/obp. so defensive. i wasn't being defensive. i've never been huge on cedeno. i like him better than neifi, but that's not saying much. i'd have never guessed. ok just read your previous comment again. so i looked up cedeno's minor league number yet still made my comment about thinking he had better plate discipline. lol @ that bizarre accusation. i'm so evil! thanks for the laugh. gotta go. umm....what?

  7. I referred to him as Neifi Cedeno a few days ago. Cubs seem to be high on him. Probably like his Neifiesque tendencies. With the way Cedeno was hyped, I thought he'd have a little more plate discipline. Who was hyping Cedeno? He's never been able to take a walk. many here wanting him starting. hence, i assumed he must take walks, if he's popular here. wow, that's some crack research there.

  9. you honestly think that getting ONE guy back is going to turn the second worst offense in baseball to an offense capable of contending for a world series? I think it could happen. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the Cubs were scoring over 5 runs a game before Lee got hurt. We have a huge hole to dig ourself out of, but I think that we can score enough runs to win games once Lee gets back. that was, what, 14-15 games? additionally, during that time the cubs were hitting WAY over their head w/ RISP, a trend that most people knew wouldn't continue. i don't think the offense will be even average once lee gets back. they'd still have a terrible offensive outfield, and i don't think they can overcome that.
  10. kendry morales is tearing it up. anybody want him?
  11. umm...not everything, dusty. 9-1
  12. argh...one more spot and i'd have had him in the draft. with three starts left, i should have a decent shot at being high score for the week.
  13. little pearl jam marker in the sand going to the break.
  14. boy, is dusty going to be all over that murton to cedeno relay after the game.
  15. this 9 walks to 1 game today couldn't have come at a better time. give 'em hell, bruce.
  16. ? Hill had 70 pitches through 3 innings and 87 through 5 innings. right. and that's bad how...? you sound so disappointed that hill was getting guys out early in the count for an inning or two.
  17. yes. Why? murton's development I thought Murton was killing the team, no? actually, he's taking them into the toilet. there's a difference.
  18. i was very concerned about dempster going into the season based on his pretty mediocre career #'s. i'm not really surprised to see him struggle.
  19. No, we're talking about Baker, not Joe Morgan. Who was it that had the sig last year quoting Dusty saying "You can't walk across the plane" followed by a list of runs that walked across the plate against the Cubs? umm...i can't remember. 8-[
  20. oh, sorry...the answer we were looking for is clutchier hitting and bad breaks.
  21. the good thing is, they're both one year deals so they'll be gone after '06.
  22. like jones and neifi, for instance.
  23. the ball took a bad hop out of neifi's glove.
  24. hmm...cubs outhit the braves 12-5, but lose 6-5. i wonder how that worked out?
