    i don't understand why everyone's arguing over who they want in return for maddux...they could have him for all i care. the only thing i'm concerned about is getting guzman/hill into the rotation.

    exactly. but you don't do what the winning team actually did to win the world series, but instead what joe morgan/john kruk say they did to win it...which will likely be speed, hustle, chemistry, heart, bunts and guts.

    Whomever can get the ball over the freaking plate with consistency gets my vote. Seven walks for Marmol tonite? Jesus. Does Rothschild give out give out backrubs for each BB or something? two were intentional, but the way he was going tonight, he may have walked those guys anyway. i just don't see the sense in having two raw guys who have barely pitched at AA in the rotation when you've got a 26 year old hill and proclaimed savior in guzman in AAA.

    damn it, i had everything going perfect for me in the cin/mil game. harang had a QS and a shot at the win and bush had a QS, but no chance at a loss. then harang goes out for the seventh and it falls apart. and i hope kazmir's arm falls off. wow, just checked in on the cubs' game...how the f do the cubs have clemens up to 105 pitches in the 5th? picked a bad time (for me, at least) to work the count for the first time this year.

    guzman's finally healthy and he goes two weeks w/o pitching. great organization. on a positive note, maybe i'll bid on guzman's jersey at the jersey auction on friday.

    also, it's worth noting that corey is hitting fewer ground balls this year than in 04 and considerably more than in 05, further refuting the claim that his good numbers are the result of bunts.
