the funny thing is, the braves seem to acknowledge the fact that they are out of it (unlike a certain other team). you'd think that if any team would be foolishly clinging to a faint hope of the postseason, it'd be the braves, who would be fighting to continue an amazing run of success...and not the cubs, who haven't tasted anything resembling success since 2003. during the game last night, smoltz was talking about being traded, and what teams he would consider going to...all but admitting that the braves' season is over. they were also recalling conversations w/ other players and coaches about how the streak is going to end.
