No. Hendry wasn't smart enough to include a club option in the contract. They may have basically paid him to rehabilitate for a year only to see him walk away.Did it occur to you that maybe Miller didn't want it? Wow. you do know that a contract is a two way deal, right?

my usual strength -- my infield -- hasn't even really done anything this week. but my two iffiest SP's have gone 4-0 with 3 QS and 83 points. i have some tough decisions to make lineup-wise this week. we can change lineups after one week just like it's a new matchup, correct?

ortiz seems like he's a little too focused on the mvp race... i'm sure his teammates appreciate that last line. -
in case anyone didn't hear about this, they added a new rule stating that the guy who bats 7th gets to ride around the bases on either a skateboard or a golf cart.

Like I said, I could point to you at least a dozen outs since he's come back that Lee made that the other first baseman wouldn't have made, due to Lee's quick feet and his ability to stretch out for balls. Don't you think that saves us some runs? You're exaggerating. I really am not..I believe, for example, that the 1st and 3rd outs of the Braves 6th inning are not made by John Mabry (and that's not counting the stretch in the 2nd where he should have had the out called on the stretch of Ramirez's throw). I've seen multiple plays like this in several other games as well since he's come back. so you're not only assuming that other 1b wouldn't have made those plays, but you're also assuming that they wouldn't have made those plays AND their inability to make them would have led to runs. not to mention the fact that you're somehow crediting him with preventing a baserunner that actually reached base by citing to ramirez's error.

if the homeplate ump didn't have such a tight zone and the cubs could field a ground ball, hill would have made it to the 8th inning. damn it, i needed a QS for my fantasty team!
