  1. fat ass joe west. if i lose by four points i'm gonna be pissed.
  2. why give the pitching team the benefit of the doubt when it's their fans reaching over?
  3. i really thought he was going to bounce back this year. still hits lefties pretty well.
  4. Holy cow, you are the King of Hyperbole lately. I think the reason it doesn't seem like the Brewers are choking is that they do not have much credibility or history of winning. If the Yanks had been up 8 games and lost the lead it would be a choke. Same for the Red Sox, Braves, Mets, etc. But when the Brewers do it they are just regressing back to where they should be (at least that is the perception). but it was an 8 game lead in june. teams make up that kind of deficit all the time, i would guess. and sorry i said everyone. i should have counted how many people said it and rephrased what i said as "don't know why 47 people out of 68 are making this out to be about the brewers choking it away."
  5. are you kidding? if the front office did bring up pie because they thought it'd make soriano play better, i'd be really pissed. why, do you not like pie? i like him fine, but bringing him up because you think he's going to somehow make soriano hit better is pretty ridiculous. if our gm really believed in stuff like that, i'd be real concerned. why is it such a bad idea to bring him up because of the way he affects the team's chemistry (apparently) because i don't believe in that stuff. i'm not saying i'd complain if he came up...he'd probably be better than jones...but the reason i'd want him up is for his actual production, not for the superfriend power he'd bring.
  6. i don't know why everyone is making this out to be about the brewers choking it away. they were up just 8 1/2 games in june. it's not like they were up 14 games on sept 1 and then went on to lose like 15 of 16 or something. aren't they around .500 since the cubs went on their crazy tear?

  8. that's the cubs' fault, not ryan braun's.
  9. I agree. He is a pitcher, there were no outs with the middle of your order coming up. soriano's hit was off the fence and marshall was barely moving. for someone who almost peed his pants about jones' baserunning last night, i can't believe you're cutting marshall slack right now. I would rather Sean take his time and still be able to pitch effectively. I am suprised your even watching this and not your Brewers. I mean after all your boyfriend pitched for us last night. well, you should be happy then, because marshall sure as hell took his time on that one. i guess quade should have been able to anticipate marshall's walking around the bases. and zing on the rich hill joke...you got me. I am about to drive to an Iowa Cub game and really get you. don't you usually save your baby fits for cub losses? Says the guy who cries and makes an ass out of himself whenever someone disagrees with him. please ban this douchebag.

  11. I agree. He is a pitcher, there were no outs with the middle of your order coming up. Who cares if he is a pitcher? Most pitchers are fast enough to score from 2nd base on a double off the wall. Marshall loafed and paid for it. Nothing at all wrong with sending a runner FROM SECOND BASE on a DOUBLE. It was actually a long single, with Soriano going to second on the throw (and barely making it). It was a sharply hit ball and well played by the outfielder. He never should have been waved home in the first place, the way he was running. he should never have been "running" the way he was "running."

  14. are people really bitching about sending marshall? if hadn't been quarter-assing it around the bases he would have scored standing up. that was an inexcusable effort by sean.
  15. I look at Arizona's box scores day after day and am completely baffled how they're doing it and that's what everyone else was thinking about the cubs during their run.
  16. Good. Murton is worth more than Ty, much more. Why would Tampa want Dan Wheeler? Are they in the playoff chase? The opposite is true too. Why does Houston want Wigginton? after seeing the haul the padres got for linebrink, i'd be looking for something better than wigginton for my semi-decent middle relievers.
  17. this pregame thing on kendall is great. "it's not how good the pitcher is, it's how much his catcher can bring out in him."
  18. are you kidding? if the front office did bring up pie because they thought it'd make soriano play better, i'd be really pissed.
  19. oh man, i'm done with this team if they trade murton for wigginton.
  20. so you'd put the tying run on with a walk up by two?
  21. i seem to have different standards than most people on this board.
