    i'm still mad at lee for not telling lou and whoever was pitching at the time that carlos lee really kills cubs pitching.

    i've actually heard lots of idiots make this argument. i think it stems from jealousy over players making millions of dollars and not being able to do something said idiots (incorrectly) believe they can do.

    no surprise that people complaining about the bunt are ripping soto for not getting it down instead of lou for calling it. dumb people make that argument a lot, i've noticed. and the benching of fukudome is getting kind of stupid. he needs to be playing every day unless he's hurt or asking for time off. i don't think being a defensive replacement every game is going to get his bat ready for the postseason. and i don't want fontenot or cedeno starting playoff games at 2b.

    lou's either trying to cover his ass by doing the most by-the-book stuff possible or he got kicked in the head by a horse. he's been as bad as any player during this stretch.

    with hill not around any longer, there has to be someone to psychoanalyze via watching baseball games on tv.

    We're going to have to play much better to even come in with a 7-12 finish. and they probably won't even need a 7-12 finish.

    yes...if the cubs finish 3-16, they may not make the playoffs. though if the cubs do finish 3-16, the phils would still have to go 12-7 (assuming they lose tonight) to pass the cubs. wow, are the cubs ever making the playoffs.

    everyone realizes that milwaukee and philly play each other four teams this week, right? thus making the chances of each of them finishing 16-3 or whatever virtually zero.

    my goodness, is anyone "defending" cedeno? the cubs lost, get over it. it's not one guy's fault and bitching at the people that, at one point, kinda liked cedeno isn't going to change it. go for a walk or something.

    it did kinda look like it took a bad bounce/took off in a weird way. still should be an error though.

    not even close You sure about that? Both made errors in critical games late in the season to central division teams that lead to a loss? You want to rethink it? except in this situation, the cubs have like a 15 game lead. 15? Try dividing that in half. oh my god i'm so scared.

    and he knew that the cubs would trade the very chips they were going to use for roberts to get harden, who badnews also knew would stay healthy. all in all, very impressive work by badnews.

    just to be clear...at the time the trade rumors were going on, you argued that roberts wasn't going to be a big upgrade over derosa. and now that he's shown to, in fact, be an upgrade (but not a huge upgrade), you want some kind of congratulations (?) about knowing the degree to which he was going to be an upgrade over derosa? good job?
