Was he productive out of the pen during those 2 weeks he was on the DL? more productive than hoffman's been this week! ZING!

after week 6, i was 13th in total points and in last place...now i'm 3rd in total points and nipping at the heels of the roadkill's version of the '07 dbacks for that last playoff spot. :twisted: BUZZSAW.

well, he was on the DL for two of those weeks, so it's hardly fair to hold that against him.

jeez, every thread i read eventually dissolves into the same three whiners crying about how lucky the cardinals are. -
don't try to back track now because your boasting is forever lost due to it being in the chat thing. you clearly deemed your team on par with the powerhouse GHS and NSBB* teams of years past. *your words. NSBB was never a powerhouse.

lots of good matchups this week. getting to the point where a loss really hurts a bubble team. ps - i like the peavy trade a little more after seeing lynx gets two starts from him this week against HBC.

that's a [expletive] reason not to respond to offers, in my opinion. and personally i think the players offered by raw and brian are probably better than what you gave up and certainly not so ridiculous to warrant being ignored.

yeah, i hope there's a draft pick in there. i don't know what magic button juan pushed to get that guy to respond to a trade offer, but congrats, i guess. jose tabata and andy laroche? really? and yeah, juan, i'm willing to give you much more than you gave up to get peavy.

The performance of Ludwick, Schumaker and Miles notwithstanding the key point is they're not pitchers, barring any trades the St. Louis staff is going to be their undoing. The bullpen is currently 24 of 30 in ERA, we've seen some of it and its not good, the starters are 9 of 30 in ERA - with the likes of Looper, Lohse, Piniero and Mitchell Boggs (who is 2-0 despite issuing more BB's than K's along with more hits than IP and 3 HR's in 16.1 IP!) - do you really believe this group is going to keep this up? They made Jeff Weaver into a stud. They can and will keep it up. just like they did last year. -
neither. cubs will take this by 10+ games.
