would dropping 2 teams from the league allow us to have a balanced schedule, keep the championship 2 weeks, but not count the last week of the regular season?

so the 2 best teams in the east (other than mine) only played each other once. meanwhile, the team i only played once has an injured scott baker in his lineup, a healthy mccann on his bench and is set to get 5 starts this week. good system.

i also just noticed we, for some reason, have an unbalanced schedule? RWD only had to play bazingas (the 1st place team in the division) once? and, of course that means bazingas only had to play RWD once too. that's really dumb.

i would argue it should be points first. it would be pretty f'ed up (and i don't know if it's possible) if there was a 4 way tie in our division and the team with the most points was left out. in other words, you'd be tied for the best record in the division and have the most points...clearly the best team in the division...but finish 4th. that would be a pretty absurd result.

[expletive]. i'm facing the 1st place team in the division and tootie and RWD are facing teams that aren't being actively managed.

also, getting pretty sick of the phrase "spirit of the rules." it's just a crutch for people to fall back on when they don't want to follow the existing rules. instead of abiding by a vague, meaningless term that everyone interprets differently how about we just make actual rules like every other fantasy league in the universe.

the last thing we need is more caveats. the rule should be "get your 7 starts however you want." if you want to keep the caveats for position players, fine. though i'd be fine with just allowing daily lineup changes for position players and pitchers. the simpler the rules, the better. that means less [expletive] that i have to pay attention to and less people throwing fits when it's pointed out they are breaking rules.

yeah, i hate to break to you, but you will never sign a single good free agent if you're not going to give them more than 3 years. so you better hope brooks raley or whoever ends up being super awesome.
