  1. wow, did i get great seats for spring training this year. probably the best i've ever had.
  2. the two football players got in the game last night for the last 10 seconds. tried out monday morning, played in the game monday night.
  3. iowa state started the season with 9 players (8 on scholarship). one quit, one got suspended for a suspected DUI and one of the starters is hurt. so what do you do when you're left with 6 players (5 on scholarship)? why just grab a couple guys off the football team and throw them on the team.
  4. man, i would have been pulling my hair out if i was a bears fan. this is the same group of fans that loses their [expletive] if a cubs manager leaves a SP in for five pitches too many, right? does it really mean that much to bears/bears fans to knock the stupid packers out of the playoffs????
  5. It was pretty hard not to see this coming. Alabama and Florida have BCS caliber talent, and Michigan's defense sucks. Hopefully Bucky and OSU can get it done. On a side note, I hope Illinois never plays in the Ticketcity Bowl. Yes, everyone saw the Bama/Sparty beatdown coming, but I don't think nearly as many people saw the Florida win coming. Florida has not been very good this year. Actually, they have been atrocious late, and with no offensive identity and the loss of their best defensive player, this game was a toss-up. I actually wanted to see Penn State and Sparty both win, but there is solace in the biggest of all B1G schills having to stew all offseason thinking about "SEC speed." and tennessee gets to stew all offseason thinking about choking away a game to north [expletive] carolina and just generally being terrible.
  6. selfish prick should have given the yankees $5 mil to let him be the bat boy.
  7. the only real crime committed is that no one has made a gif of the tennessee qb throat slashing/crying.
  8. the refs in the tenn/unc game got it right. it was a disorganized mess, and it took a while, but the refs made the correct call.
  9. yeah, they gained no advantage by having a penalty. it's not a loophole.
  10. WHO CARES is that why they lost the game????
  11. There's a simple answer to that – don't make a call that doesn't need to be made. What was the good in the ref coming out and announcing the game is over when there was still doubt? and what harm was there in saying the game was over and then saying, no we have to review it?
  12. There's a simple answer to that – don't make a call that doesn't need to be made. What was the good in the ref coming out and announcing the game is over when there was still doubt? none. so what. unc should be penalized and robbed of a second because the ref got your hopes all up when he pinky swore the game was over?
  13. but the ref said the game was over. no takesies-backsies.
  14. how would you feel if you were a NC fan and the refs were like "oh yeah, sorry we blew that call, but already promised tennessee the game was over and they're really excited, so sorry." give me a break.
  15. has a player ever made the throat slash gesture and cried within a 10 minute span?
  16. They announced the game was over when it, in reality, wasn't over. They were correct in reviewing it, but should not have announced the game was over – because it wasn't. oh come on. what the hell difference does that make? is that "game over" proclamation binding or something? It should be. Refs shouldn't just be announcing the game is over when it isn't. If there's any question, don't make the announcement. that's beyond weak. hard to feel sorry for tennessee after how they collapsed in that final drive. also, hard to feel sorry for any team that has that huge douche as a qb.

  18. Should have made that a 48 yarder. Wow, looks like they botched that even worse than I originally thought. Just terrible. how did they botch it? was there not 1 second left when he spiked it?
  19. 11+ people didn't participate in the play. that's a different penalty than too many men on the field.
  20. sssh...you're taking the fun out of the season for sulley.
  21. next thing you know, they're going to win a game when a wr doesn't "complete the process" of a would-be game winning td catch. 20 seconds remaining + best returner in NFL history + a top 3 kicker in the NFL = game not over. yeah, they had it in the bag.
  22. next thing you know, they're going to win a game when a wr doesn't "complete the process" of a would-be game winning td catch.
  23. quite the coincidence that they still get to play in the bowl, seeing as how them not playing would obviously hurt tv ratings.
  24. what is this, the 11th backup qb the bears have faced this year? i think bubby brister has played against them twice.
  25. wow, no favre or peterson for the vikes. the tough breaks for the bears just keep on coming.
