i've weathered the first round of lee/strasburg...only down 26 w/ a two start advantage. would have been nice had lee not pitched a pointless CG though.

i've always thought of the all-star team as guys who had a great first half and "deserved" to make the team. i don't think a guy who has played in seven games or whatever "deserves" to make the team.

kennedy's start has been pushed from friday to monday, so i'll be picking someone up to get my 7th start.

yeah, i kinda doubt kyle farnsworth was thinking about leon durham and what not when he took the mound in the '03 playoffs. you guys are assuming that whatever random players are wearing cub uniforms at any given time give two shits or even know about 1984 or whatever. -

see there you go not knowing the cubs as well as i do (and thus being less of a fan than me). not only do i know the cubs won't win a WS in the next 50 years, i can accurately call "GAME OVER" in the second inning of 1 run games. that's how great of a fan i am. -

the more you believe the cubs won't win a world series, the better fan you are. because then when someone is like "hey, i like the cubs, i think they'll win the world series this year," you can be like "oh no, you naive young man, I KNOW the cubs and i have been a fan for a billion years and watched all their games and I KNOW they won't win the world series and that's because i'm smarter than you about the cubs and you don't understand all the suffering i've been through." your self pity gives your life purpose. -

i agree. if you're referring to posada/buck, though, that's not what happened. he played buck on monday since nyy were off and then put posada in the lineup for the rest of the week (presumably). posada's been off the DL since last week.

kid rodelo has made a mid-week substitution again. posada in for buck. either take buck's 14 points away or posada's 4.75 and put buck back in his lineup. and as i pointed out in the week 10 thread, he picked up morrow mid-week last week and shouldn't get the points he scored for him. i don't think anybody made that point change.
