  1. well, at least once in the last three days, actually. 09/25/10 10:56 am ET Quakers Kipnis, Jason 2B CLE - Added Martinez, Fernando OF NYM - Dropped
  2. cool, sounds like i get to keep EY.
  3. what would the standard cutting both ways lead to? after ND beats someone that team gets ranked 123rd?
  4. you're exhausting.
  5. cool your jets. he stated this rule after i picked up the guy. and it's a [expletive] nonsense rule that allows teams in the playoffs to pick up players to prepare for next season while other teams cannot. i picked up fukudome on the sunday i got eliminated from the playoffs. like 2 days later i picked up ey jr. i guess i should be allowed to keep fukudome and not ey. that is idiotic. and holy [expletive] [expletive], if you bring up [expletive] ben sheets one more time i'm quitting this [expletive] league. he was [expletive] garbage for like two months before his arm fell off. quit acting like i abused a loophole and rode ben sheets' cy young season to a championship this year. my goodness.
  6. that doesn't make any sense. the season is still going on. so if some mlb team brought up a 2010 draftee right now, only the teams competing in the playoffs would be eligible to pick him up?
  7. no [expletive].
  8. i don't know why that wouldn't be allowed. my roster is still legal.
  9. just give tim the first 12 picks of the draft and get on with it. teix/agonz and josh johnson are likely available.
  10. i don't remember how we've done it in the past, but 14 starts makes more sense than 7 per week.
  11. thanks. my offense has been a complete disaster this week.
  12. rollins is hurt, so i picked up janish. janish had been playing while o cabrera was hurt. now o cabrera is not hurt. can i drop janish and pick up a different ss or am i stuck with janish or hoping that rollins plays tomorrow (doubtful)?
  13. kick the FG. terrible call by o'kelly.
  14. nice showing, iowa state. holy [expletive].
  15. omg grudge much? ben sheets [expletive] sucked this year anyway. also, i agree that he should be able to DL morrow.
  16. right. and there's a rule that says you're allowed to do this. you sure are. you are replacing an injured player with someone from your bench. again, this is not what he would be doing. just put morrow on the DL. problem solved. If I didn't have Ian Stewart and I saw a better 2b free agent than OF, I could still make that same move and it would be okay. Injuries allow replacements, provided those replacements are within reason. I don't see his replacement requests as being unreasonable. agreed. he is not replacing an injured player with a FA/reserve. he would be replacing an injured pitcher with a FA pitcher AND making a mid-week change to his offensive lineup. what does inserting ian kinsler at 2b have to do with replacing an injured PITCHER? we just need to allow all mid-week roster moves next year because apparently the current system is too hard to keep track of.
  17. right. and there's a rule that says you're allowed to do this. you sure are. you are replacing an injured player with someone from your bench. again, this is not what he would be doing. just put morrow on the DL. problem solved.
  18. I don't see a problem with allowing that change. I'm sure he'd prefer to just start Brandon Morrow if he could. Unfortunately, Morrow has become done for the season. Now he has to patrol the scrap heap and he'd rather remove a starting player rather than losing one of his reserves. I don't see a problem with this at all. lineups are due on monday. kinsler was not in his lineup on monday. he can't insert kinsler into his lineup mid-week. these are the rules that we have had for 75 years. if he wants to drop jose lopez or whatever and go with no 2b for the rest of the week so he doesn't go over the roster limit, maybe that's fine. but kinsler cannot be inserted into his lineup mid-week. we've been over this a bajillion times.
  19. i'm still kind of confused on this. i guess moving morrow in the IR (even though it doesn't look like he's hurt or on the DL) is one way of doing it. what i don't think is legal is any type of adding/dropping/whatever involving pitchers where the end result is ian kinsler/colby rasmus in his active lineup. kinsler/rasmus started the week on his bench and should stay there.
  20. he can drop whoever he wants, but he cannot, say, drop josh bell and replace him in the lineup with kinsler, who started the week on the bench.
  21. you cannot insert rasmus or kinsler into your lineup since they weren't there on monday.
  22. if a cub was benched for two games every time he had a lapse of some sort, they wouldn't be able to field a team on some days.
  23. no. he can probably run that far in a few seconds though. i don't even know why you rush him. just rush two guys and watch him throw it into the ground a few times.
  24. you guys really think taylor has the ability to drive them down in a minute?
  25. good sign for ND that they were able to win against a team they were about even with talent-wise. chip kelly looks like a good hire.
