  1. drunk on moonshine and couch burnin'.
  2. it is truly a great day for illini fans to look down their noses at national runner-up kansas.
  3. i'd rather lose trying to win our 4th championship than sit at home and try to talk myself into the Groce hire. just ran the numbers and this loss moves the illini job ahead of the ku job. man when it rains it pours. They'll have their pick of the Big Sun now. oops, anthony davis (he is good) is from chicago (which is in the same state as illinois), ergo illinois moves up another spot. now ahead of duke.

  5. ok, but when we say "three strike" rule, we really mean "two strikes," right? 1st offense: lose your last in time start. 2nd offense: lose your best start.
  6. don't know why, but i'm annoyed by all kentucky's goofy looking bench warming white guys/walk ons.
  7. let's get this settled right now. last year, the rule was the first time you went over your 7 starts, the start that occurred last in time was erased. on your second offense, your best start was erased. is that what we're going with this year? my preference would be to just take away the best start on your first offense. for one, it's hard to keep track of who has how many offenses. two, taking away the last in time start could actually benefit the person who went over.
  8. i don't know that gottlieb would want to be an assistant or that weber would want to hire an assistant that was openly/pathetically begging for the job.
  9. gottlieb's public begging for the job was just odd/pathetic. he was on a KC station last week basically bragging about how great he would be, how hiring him would bring a buzz to the program, naming guys he'd hire on his staff, etc. what a weird story.
  10. ouch. that hurts.
  11. yes yes yes
  12. um...yes? obviously. Does this mean Notre Dame is not an elite football school anymore? didn't say it was the only factor. but i'm certainly far from a ND supporter.
  13. um...yes? obviously.
  14. How? I think its a top 15 program. Even if all of the teams on abucks list were better than us. That still puts us at 15. I mean sure his list is awful, he didn't include Indiana in it, but even using it we are right at 15. FINE, i'll add indiana to my list. happy? No, I think by leaving Indiana off you really showed your college basketball knowledge. and this discussion has shown yours.

Clearly the job isn't that great otherwise they wouldn't have crapped the bed on the coaching search, but you keep changing conversations between historical rankings, current ratings and how good the job is. THANK YOU

  17. WHAT IS YOUR CRITERIA, LOONEY TUNES
  18. We were ranked the number 6 program all time by the Saragin ratings. So good. so when you hired your most recent coach, you got the sixth best coach in the nation, right? Kentucky was the 75th best program in the country in 2007. let's hear your criteria for what makes a good job too, while we're at it.
  19. Lol, now you don't get the criteria for being a better job? no, i don't get your criteria for what makes a better job.
  20. will one of you insane illini fans please lay out your criteria?
