they missed two free throws and had zero turnovers. they lost the lead because the heat made two big balls 3s and got some fortunate bounces on offensive rebounds not because the spurs were scaredy pants. Why you think turnovers would be more indicative of choking than 80 percent and 83 percent free throw shooters missing free throws, I cannot fathom good then I won't have to read you weirdos talk about ginobli choking tonight.

Of course they choked. Saying otherwise is absurd anti-meatbalism that has swung too far in the opposite direction. This is crazy. If ray allen doesnt drill that 3 then the spurs gut out a win a championship. The ball came off the rim like it did and the heatmade the shots when they got the second chance. Lebron missed that first three so bad that good rebounding position became bad rebounding position and Bosh made a nice play to get the board and the ball to ray allen for the game tying three. Two guys going 1-2 from the line down the stretch is not an epic choke job. Compare the likelihood of two guys going 1-2 from the line (which is a probability dead heat with going 2-2) and the unliklihood of what happened on the other end of the floor. Crazy, huh? I'd say 98.6 percent speaks for itself. whatever makes you weirdos feel better. I bet a team leading by two with 1 second left and the other team preparing to heave a 60 footer has like a 99.99999% chance of winning. if the guy makes the 60 footer did the other team "choke?"

who exactly choked? you act like they dribbled the ball off their foot five possessions in a row or something. missed free throws? not being able to grab a rebound?. yeah they were going to be able to grab the rebound but their knees were all wobbly because they were like omg I'm so nervous. a lot of missed 3s result in long offensive rebounds.

Leonard is a 63% FT shooter. don't get why people are so anxious to be all CHOKE CHOKE every time a team loses a close game.

hopefully this will eliminate a lot of the disputes and arguments that have been going on. given how this season has gone, however, i'm sure a few things will still come up. and the bottom line is this...if you break the rules (knowingly or unknowingly), points will be docked...especially if you gain an advantage over your opponent (which you almost always will). and frankly a lot of the time that means the result will be a loss. and that's how it should be. it's not a judgment on you as a human being or an accusation that you are engaging in an elaborate cheating scheme. it's just how it works. you don't get out of a speeding ticket if you didn't realize you were speeding. if you want to play in a league where you get to have an advantage over your opponent, you're free to leave and try and find a league with rules that specifically state that you, and only you, get to have an extra bench spot/extra DL spot/25 free points a week. it boggles my mind that anyone would legitimately gripe about getting dealt a loss in a week where they had an undeniable illegal advantage over their opponent. so anyway, sub your little hearts out. guy is cold? bench him. guy's team has a day off? bench him. don't like your hitter's chances against a given starting pithcer? bench him. guy is black and you're a racist? hey bench that guy too. go nuts.

enough of this [expletive]. you can't bench a RP mid week because he loses his closer job. that doesn't mean a) it's a good rule or that b) it's been etched in a stone tablet and ratified on a mountaintop by the league elders. that also doesnt mean the "benching" exception for hitters is a good rule. but it is, indisputably, the rule. it won't be for long because this is getting changed to a daily league. otherwise I'm going to end up murdering all of you. participating in this league is just brutal right now.
