and to answer your question, yes you are going to lose. OF [expletive] COURSE YOU ARE. is this a serious question? should your opponent have to lose because you had a 21 man roster?? I'm just gonna pick up the ten best available free agents and stuff them on my minor league roster. then I'm gonna pick up a few more and put them on the DL. and then be like "WHAT I'M GONNA LOSE THIS WEEK THAT'S NOT FAIR." and ps you had TWO starters illegally on your minor league roster.

truffle what do you think the penalty should be for you having essentially a four man bench for most of the week and a five man bench on sunday? I'd like to hear a suggestion as to why you should just get to have extra players on your roster.

you're seriously bitching about this truffle? would you prefer I just take miller and Teheran off your roster? you just want to be able to shuffle two major leaguers onto your minor league roster all year? i think i'm just going to start sending hamels down between starts. maybe david wright on off days. since you claim to not know the rule (even though its actually clearly stated in the rules thread) at what point were you going to stop assuming miller/Teheran were eligible for your minor league roster? 2016? even more amazing than all this failing to follow the rules is this disbelief over being punished for breaking the rules. there are going to be wholesale rule changes next year or I'm done. Unfuckingreal that you're whining about this.

this is what was agreed upon, so truffle loses highest scoring SP for each day for the last two weeks or whatever, right? no [expletive] way i'm spending the time to figure all that out. i'll probably just do what GR suggested on the previous page. that will give me two straight wins from my opponent having a mess of a roster. just playing by the rules is like 80% of being successful in this disaster of a league.

looks like truffle's roster was illegal every day last week with either teheran or miller (or both, lol) in his minor league system every day.

don't blame me, i've made it clear i want a lineup-alooza where you can do whatever the hell you want mid-week. it is clearly the best solution. you know how many arguments/debates/disagreements/exceptions we'd have if there were no mid-week lineup rules? zero. literally zero. sure tim would gain a slight advantage by swapping 18 guys in and out of his lineup every week to get 7 more at bats than his opponent, but who cares.

because we continue to have problems with people having too many players on their roster/bench, a rule needs to be implemented. taking away all points for an illegal roster is a little harsh. what i've done the last two weeks (to raw and brian) is to take away points scored by a SP during the time when the roster is illegal. of course, this will be an issue in the future if the illegal team didn't use any starts on the illegal day(s) or if the starts used that day were negative. here's what we're doing going forward: if you have too many players on your roster/bench, you will lose the highest of: a) any points scored by the highest scoring SP on your roster that day(s) b) any points scored by the "extra" guy who was illegally on your roster c) 5% of your points for the week (since having 20 players is essentially a 5% advantage over teams having 19 players)

usually i would just hand out justice swiftly and harshly with no concern for anyone else's opinions or feelings, but since this instance involves my matchup i figured i better check in with everyone. brian used 9 starts this week. i took away his two highest scoring starts (gomez' first start and gee's miracle in yankee stadium as it has come to be known). however, he had a 20 man roster on 5/27 and 5/28. that lyons guy from the cardinals was on his major league roster on monday (5/27) and tues (5/28). he dropped him on 5/28, possibly when he realized his roster was overstuffed. when raw did a similar thing in week 7, here is what i did... in this case, this would mean taking away leake's start from 5/27 (25.5 points). this would flip the outcome of our matchup. please weigh in with what you think should be done here.

that was obviously a perfect situation to bring villanueva in for his first relief appearance. let him handle the 6th and 7th, russell in the 8th.
