  1. can't believe marmol + Rondon vs the heart of the order didn't pan out. sveum sucks. good thing he used his best reliever vs a bunch of scrubs in the 7th.

    Week #4

yes. he has four bench players. i'll take away rendon's points for the week.
  3. hmm so sveum sucks apparently. didn't expect him to be so bad when they hired him.
  4. i thought i had done it, but it must not have gone through. then when i went back to re-do it, it had already been done.
  5. eww
  6. lol why in the [expletive] would you own drew smyly let alone start him at RP?? record breaking relief outing in progress...
  7. and yes, next year we need to start allowing daily lineup changes. too hard to keep track of this stuff. the advantage someone would gain by swapping in hitters for guys on off days or whatever would be pretty marginal.
  8. i didn't realize pagan was injured to start the week and that's why maxwell was in there. the "problem" would have been had maxwell just been in your lineup because you intended to start him then you dumped him mid-week to "call up" the reds pitcher. you're fine with what you did.
  9. another reason why all mid-week lineup changes should be allowed. technically, dropping maxwell constitutes a non-starting pitcher mid-week lineup change and shouldn't be allowed.
  10. looks to be the case. can't imagine why the 3 osu guys would be having their announcement together on campus if they weren't all coming back. oh well, iowa state was going to finish behind them anyway since nash is coming back.
  11. what happens for guys coming off the DL mid-week? Brett Lawrie's getting activated today, do i immediately have to drop somebody to make my roster legal or do i wait until next week to activate him from Injured status? you can either put him in to your lineup immediately or wait until next week. he just can't still be on your DL next monday.
  12. no idea how or why jim henderson was in my minor league system, but he's been dropped.
  13. it all evened out though because i got to pick 15th in the draft.
  14. always fun to blow late leads/lose extra inning games with your best reliever sitting in the bullpen with his dick in his hand. sveum has been pathetic his weekend.
  15. damn I wanted him.
  16. man bochy took sveum to school in the 8th. played him like a chump.
  17. get better fielders. fundamentals pal.
  18. i mean that ump should be fired before he gets back to the locker room.
  19. worst strike call ever to end tb/tex.
  20. to make it so the person who most obsessively changes their lineup every day to take advantage of mlb off days doesn't win just because they invest the most time. for the record, my vote was to allow whatever subs/adds/drops you wanted to make, but people wanted to keep this a "weekly" league instead of a "daily" league. as i've said 1,000 times before, just allowing us to make whatever subs we wanted at any time would be a hell of a lot simpler.
  21. yeah but he's still playing and thus still capable of scoring points (in theory). the point of not allowing mid week substitutions isn't to make one team play short handed all week because of injury.
  22. as far as picking up a FA to replace an injured(but not DL'ed) hitter...if your catcher gets dinged up on tuesday it would really suck to have to play without a catcher all week just because you didn't happen to have a catcher on your bench.
  23. we can do that?? for Braun i'm gonna put in...nevermind i don't have a single functioning player on my bench Yeah, if a guy sits out b/c he's hurt (or is going to), then you can replace him with another player. I didn't think you could add a FA to replace a hurt player unless the guy goes on the DL. But Adam picked up Lowrie to replace Simmons, so maybe you can. yes, you can do that. as far as the RPs go...you can pick up whoever you want, whenever you want. you just can't make non-SP lineup changes mid-week. if there's a hot FA you want you would have to drop one of your guys on the bench (or a SP) to get him. So you can make whatever moves you want with your bench, just not your starters? i suppose that's one way to look at it. really, the only mid-week limitation I can think of is not changing RP or hitters mid-week (barring injury, etc). so yeah you couldn't pick up a hot FA by dropping a starting hitter.
  24. you can pick up RP and hitters whenever you want. just can't make mid-week lineup changes barring injury/demotion/suspension.
