wowsers, iowa st hands byu just it's 11th home loss in 8 years and finishes the game with two freshmen, two sophs and a JC transfer who didn't play a minute vs. michigan on the court after two foul outs and an ejection. thankfully they let the guy who cuts his own hair take the last shot instead of hawes or carlino, who were a combined 100 for 100 from the field.

kyle, as usual, is the worst, but that article and that general attitude is just as bad. "YOU CAN'T FIX A 100 YEAR OLD PROBLEM IN TWO YEARS" is just a nonsensical position to take. as if the cubs need to take an extra year to get their plan in place because the cubs were bad in 1952 or because they drafted poorly in 1981. the cubs currently have zero bad contracts on the team. yeah, they blew it on hayden simpson or whatever, but give me a break. the cubs' current "problems" are not made any worse because of their awful history. -

Any manager looking at the Cubs opening sure as [expletive] is going to be thinking a lot about minor league talent. well it's all the cubs have going for them right now, so that's pretty much the only thing they could consider.

Makes me wanna puke, what with his confidence that we'll have a better future than the stinking Yankees. Bring back MacPhail/Hendry, they are true pros. yeah, on a day where two NL central teams played for the right to go to the NLCS and the cubs were apparently spurned by their top managerial choice, I would be kinda grossed out by theo walking around with his chest puffed out about a 19 year old's 4-5 day in a glorified scrimmage. I mean, i'm pumped about the farm system too, but I bet girardi gives zero fucks about albert almora. and I understand that if theo did say this (which I really doubt) he was likely joking.

the stats count "against" your players' point total because it's part of the regular season. it does not count as part of your matchup because the matchup spanned from date A to date B and the one game playoff game fell after date B. pretty sure i'm not going through and taking 1.75 points or whatever off the totals of every guy that played in that game.
