i don't really care who got dumped between two crummy pitchers. the biggest issue was sveum's comical mismanaging of the bullpen last night. whether it was bowden or camp who took over for the guy who is by far the team's best reliever after one batter, it was a horrendous decision.

ok, here's what i'm going to do for raw's week 7. all the points he had taken away for an illegal roster were put back by the system. these points should not have been put back. he had four reserves from 5/15-5/17. for right now, i'm just going to take away strasburg's start since we know he got those points when he had four reserves. i do not feel like scrolling through 3 [expletive] days of box scores for all of his offensive players. so, i'll just take away strasburg's points and if raw's point total is a factor at the end of the season i guess i will take a couple hours out of my day to scroll through the box scores of all his hitters from 5/15-5/17 to figure out how many points he should lose. so, in conclusion...a) for the love of all that is holy, please pay attention to your rosters and b) raw, either make the playoffs or miss the playoffs without your point total being a tiebreaker.

i'll add your points back, but remember you used two starts on monday (cueto and corbin). thus, you cannot go over five starts the rest of the week. if you go over five starts this week, the highest start(s) will be removed.

not easy to burn through four pitchers thru 5 2/3 after your starter gave you five great innings.

Sveum is hapless at managing a pen. let marmol [expletive] all over himself for four batters, yank your best reliever after one batter, bring in worthless camp. sveum is just awful.

so going back and re-changing the settings apparently undid some of the previous results. for instance, it looks like changing the bench setting fixed all the points that MR and bazingas lost last week. of course, i already manually changed MR's points, so he now has 60 extra points (i think). also, raw should have had points take away last week for his illegal roster, but now it appears as though he did not. did he lose his matchup last week before the points changed? everyone needs to get their [expletive] together. i am spending way too much time fixing the mistakes of people who have been in this league for a long time.

the bench limit is back to 5. this does not mean you can have 25 man rosters or whatever. this is only to use if you need to bench SPs to avoid going over your 7 starts.

what do you suggest being the penalty? please tell me, i'd love to hear a suggestion. no, i don't think you tried to game the system by keeping jeff [expletive] locke, but you DID have too many players on your roster. should there just be no penalty? or every time it happens i have to decide whether the person who did it had criminal intent? seriously, i'd like to hear a suggestion as to how it should be handled. ask truffle if i took away his first pick. let me know how many points you end up with today and i'll add them back.

i don't think i can recall a situation where i've ever had to overflow my bench to avoid going over my starts. i guess i figured it wasn't that common. wouldn't it require a pretty crazy amount of starters going on the same day?

fine. but, as you'll recall, this extended bench thing caused someone to think we now allowed a six man bench like 2 weeks ago.

there are big red letters that notify you that you have an illegal lineup. and the whole "not giving you any points when you have an illegal lineup" is also a setting. but yes, i do wish there was a way that it would save you from yourself and just be like "NO YOU CAN'T DO THAT, NOT ALLOWED." i also wish people would just not have illegal lineups since we've done this league for like 10 years. you did this last week, right? and yes, it is getting quite frustrating to have to fix all this [expletive] when people can't do simple +1, -1 adding/subtracting. maybe i didn't notice how much everyone in this league sucked at math before i was the commissioner.

did you have a four man bench? I changed the settings to make that illegal.

i have changed the settings on the bench limit from 6 to 3. i believe it was set at 6 so people could bench extra guys in order to not go over their 7 starts. obviously this was causing lots of problems with people having too many guys on their bench. if you run into a problem where you need to bench a bunch of SPs so as to not go over the 7 starts, let me know. as far as juan goes...i have decided to take away his two highest starts (since he was two players over the max bench). don't really know how else to handle it. i can't let him win his matchup with a roster like that and i guess taking all his points away is pretty harsh. the end.

son of a bitch...looks like one point was magically removed from my total two weeks ago making my tie with rodelo now a one point loss. wonder how that happened...

can't believe marmol + Rondon vs the heart of the order didn't pan out. sveum sucks. good thing he used his best reliever vs a bunch of scrubs in the 7th.
