  1. max fried please.
  2. holy moly that was stressful.
  3. 27 pt second half lead down to 6. blowing this would be a good way to ensure you don't make the tourney.
  4. helps iowa st since it jumped FGC into the top 100.
  5. thanks for engaging in a 3 pt shooting contest, wvu. good gameplan.
  6. they've been very kind to bubble teams lately.
  7. wow florida, forgot to score in the last six minutes there fellas.
  8. yeah, i feel pretty good about iowa st staying ahead of the teams outside of the bubble now (uk, umass, ole miss, virginia, so miss). i just think it's going to be tough for them to jump the teams in front of them (la salle, nova, cal, boise st). i think there's a decent gap between those that are in right now and those that are out. which means i'm really rooting for no upsets in the mvc, sec, etc.
  9. juan, didn't you say in the draft chat that the prospect draft was necessary to help the unsuccessful teams restock their farm system? now you want teams that made the playoffs to pick before teams that don't in the prospect draft?
  10. would be kinda crazy since they have 1 top 50 win (at home vs terrible on the road mizzou). they don't really have any unforgiveable losses though. virginia is the craziest at large candidate ever. seven 100+ rpi losses plus a loss to fsu (87) tonight. their rpi isn't even that respectable after tonight either (71).
  11. I think I had Creighton as a lock, but agreed that neither one is really all that impressive. Creighton has neutral site wins over Wisconsin and Arizona State, and a road win at Cal, which is all pretty impressive and should push them ahead of most of the other bubble teams in discussion. Wichita State has a road win at VCU and neutral court win over Iowa. Not as impressive, and more borderline. The main concern for the bubble teams would be if neither of those teams won the conference tourney, though. my biggest complaints with those teams are their bad losses in conference. usually teams that get at-large consideration from the valley steam roll through it.
  12. my biggest concerns are the MVC (scared uni or illinois st or some random will win because i don't think either creighton or wich st are that good) and the SEC (just a million teams that are decent/mediocre and only two tournament locks...just numbers-wise it seems like the field would be a decent pick).
  13. whew, third win against the rpi top 25. that should do it, right?
  14. so I guess the fix isn't in to give iowa st make up calls from the kansas game.
  15. two fireable offenses in ten seconds for valentine.
  16. he was literally one foot away looking directly at hulls repeatedly grab his arm. were his eyes closed?
  17. good lord college bball officiating is a joke.
  18. ugh I need espn3 to watch the senior night ceremony?!
  19. iowa's announcers hyping that "big 10 defense." uh huh sure guys.
  20. beautiful basketball
  21. right. and iowa st could have scheduled a bunch of 150ish teams instead of 225ish teams, they would have had the same record (probably) and it would bump up their rpi. it's how oklahoma gamed the system this year...they played a bunch of 95-140ish teams and they have (supposedly) one of the best OOC schedules in the country. problem is, it's hard to guess whether stephen f. austin/florida gulf coast/northwestern st/whoever is going to be 250 or 120 year in and year out.
  22. also, if iowa state finishes with the two top 50 wins that means they will have lost to both okie st and oklahoma in the B12 tourney and probably won't make it either. stupid baylor and byu couldn't stay in the top 50...
  23. iowa should have played more byus and florida gulf coasts and fewer howards and texas pan-ams. that's the only reason they are where they are right now. if iowa were to somehow make the tourney, they'd probably have the highest RPI of any team ever selected.
  24. virginia follows up their win over duke by losing to BC...their SEVENTH loss to a 100+ rpi team this season. they're 7-2 vs the top 100 and 13-7 outside the top 100. crazy.
  25. don't know if i'm more amazed that OU made 34 of 34 free throws or that they shot 30 free throws in the 2nd half.
