  1. I can't stand Sully.
  2. Where's Fred? Of course I could be way off. I just know that I have attended two games so far this year where he hasn't played and the Cubs have won big both times. Once against SF in Wrigley and the other last Saturday night in Cincinnati. No i agree.
  3. Nah 4-12 Murton goes 4-4  Murton will go 0-4 with 2 K's and a missed cut off man. he will also fail to score from 3rd on a sac fly resulting in mt. lou erupting and engulfing sheffield in fiery ash. jones...is starting against a lhp, khemennu said enough about this. Thank you for the laugh
  4. Are there any good sites that you could provide that cover Japanese baseball? http://www.japanball.com http://www.japanesebaseball.com http://www.japanbaseballdaily.com http://www.thebaseballguru.com I used to use a site off of geocities to figure out EqA and other stats in Japan, but that sites gone so I am going to have to use something else at the end of the year. I have a pretty good working knowledge of Japanese and follow most of it from yahoo's japanese site. sometimes other japanese sites. Fujikawa is unreal 2005 1.36 ERA, 92.2 IP, 139:20 K:BB, 57 H 2006 0.68 ERA, 79.1 IP, 122:22 K:BB, 46 H 2007 0.70 ERA, 50.1 IP, 73:12 K:BB, 26 H    Holy Moly Loving the K to BB ratio
  5. Yay for the start for Murton, Cedeno deserves to play today, I kinda figured he'd play today.
  6. No way Lou randomly bats Murton 2nd. Theriot has that spot solidified. Maybe Murton bats 2nd if Cedeno starts tonight at SS. I was thinking the same thing and since Theriot's played so much recently I think it would be good to give Cedeno a day to play. Are you sure about that? Don't you think the Cubs should get Murton and Theriot as many at bats as possible? everyone needs a break once in a while and everyone needs plaing time. I never suggested that Theriot or Murton play 162 games a year.
  7. You may be right but I fail to see how doing it when he does it is easy.

  9. Well then why don't you show us some numbers mr. mojo risin'
  10. Wow, truely shocking.
  11. He's implying that you are a human being. As such, it's impossible to properly weigh what we see accurately like you are claiming. And to clarify Brinoch's point since he didn't want to expend the energy: Theriot has tried to steal 23 times this year, Reyes has tried to steal 64 times this year. If Theriot attempted that many steals, don't you think more attention would be paid to him, no matter what the "attention level" he is already getting is? Yes but the diff. would be minimal seeing as how Reyes steals at times when the pitcher's simply don't care. Again, I've seen it with my own eyes. Riot steals when it actually makes a difference, hence the pither will pay lots of attention to Riot.
  12. Yay, he gives up :!: Because there's nothing to respond to. You rarely answer any direct points and you pull "facts" out of thin air and refuse to budge on them even when shown to be mistaken or wrong. It's like debating with a brick wall. No that's like arguing with brinoch, who suggests that theriot would be caught more often if he attempted more often. And the only thing he uses to suggest his theory is that pitcher's would pay more attention. I've seen Riot run the bases and there are very frequent pick-off attempts and I don't think anyone would argue that. brinoch on the other hand still can't support his argument, so he simply quits. :D The crux of your argument seems to entail what you actually see. You can't see everything. Your argument is severely flawed. I happen to follow the Cubs quite often so the idea that what I see isn't good enough is retorical. Are you implying that I have bad eyesight? No, I'm flat out saying that your eyes can't show you everything pertaining to a player's numbers and abilities short of you seeing every game and every play and having multiple angles and reviewing tools to do so, and even then you're still going to get things wrong. I see every game broadcst on WGN, ESPN and FOX. I watch the whole game and every time I see Riot or Fontenot on base, pickoff atempts are frequent, and this is just an idea but I doubt pitchers only pay attention on games that I see.

  16. Yet you still boast no evidence or fact to support your theory.
  17. RBI opportunities are rare for Theriot seeing as he mostly just has Sori if he gets on base without hitting a big fly. Even at the top of the order he has plenty of at bats with people on base, even if they are not in scoring position. A stolen base can't score a runner from first like a double can. This is true but I think the point is being missed that for someone who like Theriot has a job description of getting into scoring position for the big guys... his sb's present value. Because they come when he is looking to get into scoring position not when he is trying to drive in runs. Probably a point of semantics though. No, you're absolutely right, Riot has the job of getting on base and into scoring position which he is doing well. He recieves the Eckstein treatment from commentators and it is well justified. You lost me on the Capt. Grit comment. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Please make a decent argument as to why what i said is a retorical comment.
  18. Mid 80s FB, plus offspeed pitch (I believe it's a slider), good command, has good deception. Thanks, should be nice to see. Any video of him eg youtube?

  20. Don't give me commands, I did nothing against the rules. Pitchers are paying alot of attention to Riot as is evident by the fact that pitchers are always trying to pick hinm off. So yes you're suggesting and implying that pitcher's are not paying much attention to him whis is a ridiculous and feable minded comment.
  21. Are you seriously suggesting that pitchers aren't paying attention to Riot. That is absurd, anyone who has 19 steals with such a low amount of CS will have ptchers paying attention, especially since he loves to do it in a close situation. If power was as imortant as you suggest the Cubs would not have the record they have since June 3rd, I seem to remeber a long stretch without a single XBH. What more do you need?
