Nothing against kendall leading off, but why not Theriot? Agreed. Why fix what's not broken? This is a strange feeling, people are agreeing with me. :P Don't get too excited... even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. :-) (I think Theriot should be leading off as well) Here's waht kills me, I said that a while ago but everyone was in love with Soriano in the leadoff spot because they liked to lead the game off with a homerun.

I think the main reason you were criticized for that order was D-Lee hitting 7th. We need to ride out this slump -- he's still the best hitter in the lineup when Sori and A-ram are out. I very well could be wrong but I remember other slumps for DLee. Again, I'm not saying I'm sure of said slumps but If someone could prove me wrong or right I'd be happy to change the lineup around for another desperate attempt at a lineup.

If Kendall puts up a .360 OBP he should absolutely be batting leadoff in this lineup. What good is that OBP in the 8 hole or in the 7 hole surrounded by Cedeno, Jones or Fontenot? Let him get on-base in front of our best hitters. Theriot has a overall .353 OBP.

Like every other Cub fan I scratch my head daily to find out the answers for the lineup. That was just a suggestion that goes along with the million other ones cubs fans have tried to figure out. We're desperate to find the best lineup.

Actually by batting Kendall 9th now you have a better chance for the top of the lineup to drive guys in. This is all IMO.

Where the hell does Murton play? Despite JJ's performance last night, Murton is the better player. i think you platoon murton and jones in LF as much as jacque pisses me off...you cannot deny that he is heating up and playing well... so is the redhead. well right, but everybody here knows lou's affinity for the platoon if i was manager it may be a bit of a different story, however, as much as lou is kind of making me a bit upset lately... i know that i am not in any way shape or form qualified to be a manager...maybe more of a GM... so, i just tinker in my head...and get frustrated with lou! :P Welcome to my world :!:

Nothing against kendall leading off, but why not Theriot? Kendall hits into an awful lot of double plays. It's not a bad idea to lead him off just so he's less likely to hit with runners on. the 9 hole waves hello :D

Gotta be Cedeno Not if they want a backup SS on the roster. Patterson is the most redundent. They have 4 others capable of playing 2B and many others capable of playing LF. Does EPatt play Short? Also you forgot about DeRo, he plays short and I doubt you need more than one backup. DeRosa is not really a shortstop. I said he could play short.

I sure don't.Start Matt Murton. Obsessed... Anyway, if Rammy isn't in the lineup tonight I'm not even gonna bother watching one second of this game. On the contrary I want what's best for this team. In the current situation, Murton is one of the three best OFer's on the team, thus he should start.
