  2. Only problem is, most people on this board were able to catch an inning or two of baseball this weekend, or at least a box score. No optimism to be found after that. This is a Cub site, Optimism will not be tolerated.
  3. Murton :!: LOL
  4. it would mean less PT for Murton . . . It would alos mean a better team, I'll take it. just kidding you. It certainly would be better for the team. It won't happen, though. Sadly you're right.
  5. This is the best suggestion IMO. Yeah, it's the best we can do. But Daryl Ward hitting Cleanup? It's not good by any means. :( Neither are the Murton suggestions, Bat Murton 2nd and Lee cleanup. Remember when Fontenot batted third.

  7. If the Cubs got him this year it would be awesome.
  8. x2, But Murton deserves to be in the lineup too.
  9. I prefer Murton 5th or 2nd for Murton.
  10. what? +1. Eh? Case in point, it takes more than muscles to hit Homeruns. how long was Barry allegedly on the drug? We don't know Did Barry use anything other than "the Clear" or "the Cream" for any legitamite period of time? We don't know. So just stop accusing Bonds of everything that you can't prove damnit. Yes Bonds was on insulin, EPO, and horse/cow steroids in addition to the cream and clear from at least 2001-2003, the biggest years of his career. You don't think we know? The evidence is far beyond a reasonable doubt. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/magazine/03/06/growth0313/index.html Yes it takes more than muscles to hit homeruns. But when you add steroids to his already hall of fame ability, you get monster numbers. These numbers skyrocketed after hsi career was winding down. Why did he take them? He was jealous of Sammy and McGwire. Bottom Line: He NEVER failed a steroid test in his life. He's the only player in both the 400-400 club and 500-500 club, that's amazing. I'm ending all arguements on my side.

  12. Kendall hits Oswalt well. Start Matt Murton :!:
  13. Any platoon involving Cedeno is bad. He is a bench player. And DeRosa is a RF. that's probably why he listed him that way Mark DeRosa is no RF. He needs to rest some. , I ment 2B. Typo.
  14. PLEASE STOP, Barry Bonds is the greatest player in the history of Baseball. The only proof of Barry's alleged use of *I Won't say it*, can't be proven other than unintentional use. Furthermore we don't know that these drugs help you hit HR. JUST STOP.

  16. How would you? You have three lefties. No matter what combo's you use two lefties would have to go back to back. Not in most 3 game series. The best you could do is RLRLL. Take that 5 man rotation through 1 series and you only have 1 lefty. But by the 2nd series, you go back to back. It's inevitable that lefties will throw back to back against the same team quite often throughout any period of time. You could cut reduce them by having one guy constantly going on 3 days rest, therefore constantly shuffling the rotation, but that's not very likely. The thing is Hill and marshall are quite similiar, face it. Lou is an idiot.
  17. Bye Bye, Cedeno. Good riddance. not a CedenoFan? Do I have a reason to be? 24-year-old SS for what is apparently your favorite team that sported a .921 OPS and .967 OPS in 2 stints at AAA when he was 22 and 24. Those 2 partial seasons total about 500 ABs. That's pretty good. He also sports many mental errors on defense, and can't hit at the ML level. If he is gone, I will piss my pants with joy. Whoa, whoa whoa. There is not enough proof yet to show that Cedeno can't hit at the major league level. See: Ronny Cedeno AB
  18. What are you doing to clear your cookies? I'm going to tools/internet options and clicking delete cookies. I have also tried deleting files and all offline content as well, but cubs.com is still recognizing me as having voted for vance already. Beyond those steps, I'm pretty illiterate in terms of clearing the footprints on my computer, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks. x2
  19. I think he does, still Theriot is the leadoff hitter in my book.

  21. He wasn't the fastest baserunner in either of the two leagues he's been in this season. I haven't seen a ranking for all the minors combined. Thanks, is he at least fast? Can the Cubs get him?
  22. Let's face it, Dusty and Joe Morgan are idiots. So is Lou Piniella. Lou is absolutely not on their level just because he doesn't play Matt Murton. Need I remind you of how Pagan and Floyd have become the new Neifi.
