    Somehow cards lost with Flaherty. Hader got an inning in too. Ideal scenario for me today is another Brewers win with Hader pitching multiple innings. If we can take care of the game today and the Reds over the next 3 days, next weekend is going to be fun.

    Was this a thing? Ryan has been great. Kintzler and Wick too. Cishek overall has been good but horsefeathers the bed in big spots a couple times that clouds judgement. And CJ and Strop were awful, but can’t really blame Theo for either of those guys.

    Yeah the front office really pulled off the opposite of the “paper clip into a millionaire” with that series of moves. Yikes. At least the current trade from last night is much better. I mean several years of Taj, Noah, and a couple from Omer is certainly more valuable than Eddy Curry. There are just multiple stops along the way that would have been much better places to stop.

    In today’s NBA, Carter can certainly play the 5. There are very few big men I would feel uncomfortable with him guarding, especially as he gains experience and more muscle. I, too, like the future of the team. We can certainly use another 3 and D guy, but those are fairly easy to find mid/late-lottery and in free agency. Hopefully we have a solid enough core that we can be an attractive enough destination for a superstar to want to sign or get traded to us in the next few years. Without that, we are probably capped at being the Toronto Raptors pre-Leonard.

    I was waiting for someone to blame that absurd decision to hit Strop on the DH rule. Already happened earlier in the thread. I personally don’t blame it on anything. Injuries happen. But it’s still dumb and annoying to not have the DH. And not just when our pitchers get hurt not pitching.

    I mean how likely is it really that he pulls a hamstring running 90 feet? I do get that it’s an unnecessary risk with Strop already having pitched 1.2 innings, but apparently Joe was going to have him close it out and go 2.2? Real glad we at least preserved the history and uniqueness of no DH in the NL though. :roll:

    I think the comp is bad. But being comped to a 2 time all star isn’t the worst thing ever. And the comp comes from the offense, which Boozer was pretty good at for most of his career. WCJ’s defense is going to be very solid IMO.
