  1. I was kinda somewhat starting to support him. Then he had to go and do this.
  2. That’s a pretty decent comp. Not sure how that never occurred to me.
  3. Coby 29 points on 14 shots in 23 minutes and Zach 23 on 11 in 25 minutes. Hawks shot 15-34 at the free throw line. How the horsefeathers is that possible? Preseason game or not.
  4. Gleyber balling out makes me sad. Kinda. Thank god we won the WS in 16.
  5. There's a real part of me that wants to build a 6 run per game offense and just kinda figure it out as we go along with the pitching and defense 1B - Rizzo 3B - Rendon RF - Bryant LF - Schwarber SS - Javy C - Willson 2B - Happ CF - Nico BN - Vic, Bote, Heyward, Descalso, Kemp Would Happ in CF and Nico at 2b be better? I’m on board with platooning Happ/Hoerner/Heyward between CF and 2B. Vs righties Heyward starts in CF with Happ and Nico splitting the starts at 2b. Happ in CF and Nico at 2B vs lefties.
  6. Haven’t read the articles and I’m sure this is discussed but how do home run rates typically differ from regular season to post season in a normal non-juiced year?
  7. Love seeing the Dodgers lose, but it unfortunately helps the Cardinals next round.
  8. Jet lag must have just worn off. Should have arrived 2 hours earlier.
  9. Would have scored easy if he hung out in London all week.
  10. We must have gotten a nap in at half. Got that circadian rhythm back on track.
  11. John Fox, that you? You’re clearly just trolling at this point.
  12. Had a big one against Denver that made the overall numbers look better. Might have been Cordarelle. It’s been brutal. Same with the passing game. Even when not bad (Washington), it has lacked long, explosive plays. Unless you’re Tom Brady, it’s really hard to consistently put together long scoring drives.
  13. And teams did this when the London games were day games
  14. I mean Chase Daniel threw straight to the LB because he’s jet lagged right? He still thinks it’s noon not 6pm. Not used to playing football at noon.
  15. It’s different traveling from road game at Indy home to Oakland to London vs home in Chicago to London. I don’t know why you don’t understand that.
  16. How do we fit Gerrit Cole into the budget?
  17. They wouldn’t have even been in the playoffs last year if not for the wild card game. Just kinda sucks for them being in a division with Houston.
  18. Agree Willy makes the most sense in terms of value we’ll get back and ability to replace production both in the short and long term. He’s a lot of fun to watch though, so it would be a bit disappointing to see him go. Maybe an AL team would be best for him so you can keep his bat in the lineup and give him more rest from behind the plate.
  19. Some of you are so unbearable. We won a horsefeathering World Series 3 years ago and have won 90+ and made the playoffs 4 straight years. Even this rock-bottom season provided 6 months of entertainment and we were in the race until the final week of the season. Sometimes teams underachieve. It happens. Get over it.
  20. This is all so depressing.
  21. Apparently I'm a moron because that Bryant hit only had a 11% expected hit probability What was the exit velo on it? I, too, would have guessed much higher.
  22. Definitely more worried about Milwaukee than St Louis. If we don’t win enough vs the Cards to pass them in the division, it’s highly unlikely we finish better than Milwaukee. We’re currently a coin flip to make the playoffs according to fivethirtyeight.
