  1. He seems like a QB that can be good with the right system but could also be a complete bust. Not sure Nagy is the guy that can design a system to take advantage of his strengths. Tua wouldn’t be my first choice for QBs but I would prefer him over like resigning Mitch because of that high ceiling potential Nagy seems like a good fit for him. Insanely accurate, can read defenses and go through his progressions (though needs to improve further), lightning quick release, mobile enough to run some RPO.
  2. Interesting. Is there a reason people are so down on Tua? He looked great at times (vs Arizona, for example) then other times looked like a rookie QB less than a year removed from a devastating hip injury, with no training camp, throwing to practice squad receivers behind an O Line starting 3 rookies. Sure, those are excuses but it seems crazy that he goes from the consensus top pick a little over a year ago, to the 5th overall, to now not even being worth a first rounder?
  3. People wouldn’t want Tua for 20 and a future 4th round pick? But would want Lance or whoever for 20 and a future 1st? What the hell...
  4. It should be 7/$214 not 8. He currently has 6/$199. With the $50M kicked in, that should put the AAV for the first 6 years around $25M and an extra year at $15M. Damn.

Schwarber’s contract is structured the same way. Looks like $7M this year. $3M buyout on the mutual option. If the option is picked up on both ends, looks like he’ll earn $11M next year (if you include the $3M on next year’s salary).

  7. Sewell 3rd ranked OT? That’s insanity. Chase at 2 if you’re just ranking based on pure overall talent, sure. Obviously no way he goes #2. I think Toney is gonna be good. Don’t get the Forte comp with Najee, and everyone has him ahead of Etienne at the moment. Wouldn’t be surprised if Javonte Williams ends up being the best back in this class. I don’t care much about defense in this draft either, but love Parsons, of course. Probably has the highest floor of any player in the draft along with HOF upside. Also like Zaven Collins in the back half of the first round.
  8. A year from now... where does ZACH rank against his peers? Top 15?
  9. 3 first rounders and some additional day 2/3 picks. Texans wouldn’t want Mack.
  10. Agree. TB definitely has a lot more talent than NE right now.
  11. Obviously the Pats run as we knew it is over. Not gonna luck into having a GOAT QB taking less money than he’s worth for over a decade. They’ll still be a playoff team more often than not if they get their hands on an average/above average QB, but it seems likely that they will be the 3rd best team in their division for the immediate future. Watson would be a bit of a game changer though. I just don’t see him being traded. It’ll be interesting to see how long this KC run lasts. They are in some serious cap hell moving forward.
  12. KC will likely be in the AFC title game 3rd year in a row. NFC had more "new" teams in the playoffs this year. Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk Perhaps he means the younger AFC QBs in the final 8 (Mahomes, Mayfield, Jackson, Allen) vs the old guys and the crappy guy in the NFC (Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Goff)? It’s all about the quarterback in the NFL anyway.
  13. Agreed 100%. He’s been very efficient this year, but still turning the ball over way too much.
  14. Decoy to who? Bunch of bums out there. And I don’t necessarily disagree, but he’s shooting 50% this year in the final minute with the lead 5 points or less. It’s that early in the shot clock heat check shot with 1:07 left in the game that bugs the hell out of me.
  15. It’s fun for the 3-4 franchises that have a chance. But not really anyone else. How do you get people to agree to eliminate the max salary? The only beneficiaries are the top 5ish% of NBA players and the fans. But the NBA isn’t exactly hurting in popularity among the younger fans. Has anyone come up with a legitimate proposal? Perhaps you can have one player that you can pay additional money to, but only the “max contract” portion applies towards the salary cap? I don’t know.
  16. Indy was a 7 point dog and LA was only +3. You obviously never want your D to advance but at least they got you a good amount of points. What site is this on? When I ran mine I used secondseason, but never really liked the site too much. Can you see ownership %?
  17. Yeah, if that's true you definitely have to swing for the fences. Here's my best look QB: Josh Allen, Tom Brady RB: Derrick Henry, Alvin Kamara, Chris Carson, Cam Akers WR: Davante Adams, Diontae Johnson, Marquise Brown, Allen Robinson TE: Travis Kelce, Austin Hooper K: Rodrigo Blankenship Defense: Washington If one of your QB's only plays one game, your lineup is probably finished. And you want to maximize your QB games. So in this lineup, I put wildcard teams in different conferences, and made sure to put the teams facing them in kicker/defense. I think you have enough differentiation points to put some studs in there, so that's why Kelce/Adams/Henry are pretty much locks IMO. I went back and forth on Baltimore/Seattle, but because Metcalf is facing Ramsey this week and Seattle wanting to run the ball made me go that way. This is pretty solid. I’ve ran one of these second season leagues for about the last decade. I usually only get about 20-30 people but also compete in large confidence pools so understand the game theory behind a field of that size. Once my buddy and I had the exact same lineup and we won it. Outside of this lineup, I think you can make the argument to fade Kelce and go with Tyreek/Andrews instead of Kelce/Hollywood. I’m sure most will have Kelce with some Mahomes sprinkled in and maybe a few Reeks.
  18. The guy who gave him away is gone. This. For the record I don’t think Miami even considers moving on from Tua already, but they are one of the few teams with the resources to make it work. And it would amuse me to see Miami trade Houston back their own picks for their top 5ish franchise QB.
  19. Apparently Rappaport threw out 4-5 firsts? I'm sure it could be less than that if it was a team with a top 5 pick now. Sitting at 20 likes the Bears probably ups the rest quite a bit. Sounds right. How about Tua, 3, 36, and a 2022 1st round pick?
  20. What would a realistic package for Watson be? 3 first rounders at least?
  21. I went to bed with them down 20 early in the second quarter. Very surprised they pulled that W out. I’m used to the team packing it in when down big on the road. That said, it’s gonna be tough to make the playoffs this year. Philly, Indy, Boston, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Brooklyn, and Miami are near-locks. Then you’re battling with Orlando, New York, and Cleveland for the last spot. None of those teams are great, obviously, but they aren’t the crap teams we are used to. Either way it’s great to see we’re on the right track with competent people in charge on and off the court.
  22. Didn’t inspire a ton of confidence with his play this year but that’s a tough position to be in. Line is still pretty poor, the receivers he had were awful (particularly with Parker injured and Williams on IR half the year), little running game, limited off season training camp, no pre-season, coming off the hip injury, etc. Most thought he’d redshirt this whole year. I don’t think there’s any guarantee that any of these guys are better QBs outside of Lawerence. That includes Fields. Probably a better idea to take Sewell or trade down and grab Chase or Smith, plus additional picks. Take Najee/Etieene/Williams with one of the second round picks. If Tua sucks in a year or two, then you have your team built up and the cap space to add a solid veteran QB in FA.
  23. Anyone know how to watch nfl football out of market now? Used to use Reddit streams but those were taken down this year. Feel free to PM me if this shouldn’t be discussed publicly.
  24. Most of them made more sense than the embarrassing Darvish trade. Maybe some of us arm chair GM's over valued Darvish? If we didn't the trade was historically terrible and embarrassing, four marginal talents (baseball wise relative to others) that could be found among hundreds of other players in hundreds of other places, nothing special, you could find these types in later rounds of any draft. That’s a bit of an over-exaggeration, but your premise was something I was wondering myself. I’m really curious to see what Bauer and the top-tier free agents get this off-season. If all these cheap ass owners refuse to pay these guys what they are worth due to decreases revenues, suddenly Darvish’s remaining 3 year team friendly contract is not as team friendly as we perceive it to be.
