  1. I don’t know the exact process of the lottery but the coin flip was just to determine seeding if neither moved up. They had the exact same odds of picks 1-3. So it’s quite possible that it wouldn’t have mattered. I don’t know how the balls are assigned. And I’d rather just assume either way we would have been 7. Pretty big disappointment, though. So assuming top 6 are Ayton, Doncic, Bagley, JJJ, Bamba, and Porter. We have our pick of Young, Carter or Bridges. I could see Bridges and/or Young moving up which would push Bamba and/or Porter to us. Not a terrible spot to be in. Seeing what Markkanen and Mitchell did this year, makes me feel better about not being higher.
  2. Lebron was an underdog in this series lol
  3. Damnit I was gifted this about a week after the cubs won the series by one of my employees. My copy is a direct copy of the actual scorecard but certainly looks worse than this perfectly copied copy. The scorecard is a thing of beauty and would make a great gift for any Cubs fan.
  4. Bridges over Porter? No thanks.
  5. :beg: please win, Kings and please win tiebreaker, Bulls
  6. Knicks up 13 at half. They’ll probably tank it away in the 2nd half though so not getting my hopes up. A Kings win tonight would be nice too if we can find a way to lose. Still an outside shot for top 6 if we can find a way to lose out. Not likely, though. Why does the NBA lottery only give you a chance to move into the top 3? Why not have a lottery for all the picks? You’d certainly see at least somewhat less tanking.
  7. Slim chance the Pels fall out of the playoffs. That would be a nice sonsolarion prize out of this otherwise abysmal final couple weeks. Ugh. We really should have shut down Lauri and gotten in the top 6.
  8. Orlando is miserable. Their tank is too much, I'm afraid.
  9. Terrible of me, but perhaps this helps the tank.
  10. My employee got me a copy of Pat Hughes's game 7 scorecard. So cool. Would love to get it signed by Pat and framed. Or at least framed.
  11. They had a police perimeter west of Wrigley late during Game 6 but UMFan and I managed to get through. Just had to go down some side streets. Yeah I believe the blockades aren meant to prevent a large number of people from accessing the area. When we went down there there were a ton of people walking the other direction convinced that because they couldn't cross at Racine there was no way to access the park, but all you had to do was walk down to Waveland to get through. Literally the alley directly north of Addison was open to get to the Stadium/surrounding bars.
  12. If anyone was on the fence about paying the Stubhub prices, right now is a good chance to buy. The minimum still hasn't changed much (about 2k with fees for SRO), but the other tickets are coming down. Just bought 3 in section 140 for $2300 each with fees. These were over $3600 last night. Dropped about $400 every half hour until I just couldn't pass any longer.
  13. Anyone in Wrigleyville? Know what tickets are going for from scalpers?
  14. What happened??
  15. I would open multiple windows. For the NLDS I won the lottery and opened a ton of windows. 1 got through fairly quickly (maybe 2 minutes) and the rest got through about 4-5 minutes later. On Wednesday I tried to purchase WS tickets after winning the Indians lottery. Did the same thing, but none of the windows got through for about 6 minutes. At that point, I wasn't able to get through and got shut out. All of the windows got through within about 30 seconds of each other. The single window I had open on my phone was the first through over all the windows open on my computer. If you want to make sure you can go, I would try to just buy 2. If the site is running slow and you try for 4 and get the dreaded "Tickets not available in your requested location and quantity" you're kind of screwed. If the site is functioning or you get through the VWR within the first 2 minutes or so, you should be good requesting a larger quantity. Good luck.
  16. If more than 1 of your email addresses gets selected though, I would only use 1 of them to purchase tickets. Unless you use different addresses and credit cards. But if you use the same CC and/or address, they may cancel both your orders.
  17. Why can't you day drink for a night game? horsefeathers it, take off the whole week.
  18. Damn, sorry guys. I'm sure it's a worse feeling than the rejection email most of us are accustomed too.
  19. You had to keep clicking submit. After clicking on it about 15 times, tickets finally popped up. Not good ones, but I know I'm lucky just to have tickets.
  20. Enough game 1 start time talk as I am off work that entire day and made it clear to the wife that any plans she makes for that Friday night revolve around watching the Cubs. Is game 2 guaranteed to be at night? With only 2 games that day I wouldn't imagine they'd start one at noon or 1, would they?
  21. I don't think Montero is a lock. And if Rob Z keeps pitching well, I could definitely see him making the pen. Especially if we're up against the Dodgers or Giants.
  22. Yeah, this will definitely go at least 5. Probably the whole thing. There's some storms here and there but they're scattered enough where I don't think it'll be a problem.
  23. How the horsefeathers do you not know Wade is married to Gabrielle Union? Assuming you know who Gabrielle Union is.
